Kinda like the last Seinfeld episode, doing something to try to stop cheating is better than doing nothing at all. I didn't think it was bad in seniors until this year, of the 2 tournaments I played i have seen many suspected bats and it continues to grow. Soon many will have the attitude that you need to cheat to compete. Why not try to stop it before it gets to that point. Or has cheating just become acceptable like many of todays other problems in this country.

I for one don't cheat on my wife or taxes and will never cheat in a recreational sport. take a stand against this and bat DR's like Kreugs, why praise a person like this? Maybe some on board have bats like this?

First of all I am not to young I play on a 55 major team. Who r u? Send me an email at koived@yahoo.com and I will forward you undisputed evidence of his activities in bat altering. Or do you just want to bash someone that is against it and you want to protect someone's shady backround.

Like I said, anyone that does nothing about a problem is just as responsible.

Jolly,
Here's the link. http://p098.ezboard.com/bbatmutterpuckerboard

I too did not think it was a big deal in senior softball, but this year at the get together in Jacksonville Fl I happen to be sitting on the bench a few feet from Kreugs when a very well known senior player comes in the dugout and starts talking to him about the bat he just did for him. Yeah I was surprised and pissed all in the same.

It is a problem at all levels of softball and defending him is the same as defending cheating. He is a great hitter, but his actions have done nothing but harm to the SPORT.
Remember this is a sport, for fun. We all pay in some way to play and should not be cheated out of a fair competition.

And by the way at the get together there was plenty of open talk about his bats and the ones he DR's hell he even gave me his business card. How abut asking him for one of those, or maybe you already have one?

Slander is when you say something about someone the is not true. Krugs has a msssage board in which he runs his bat altering services through. There is also proof of this so if you think it is slander sue me. It won't make it to court because there is to much proof of this guy doing this. No I have never had a bat done by him or anyone for thaty fact.No I am not a bat DR. He is not old enough to play against my team. But his bats have contributed to many teams being defrauded out of the chance to compete fairly.

To me it had many questions on altred bats and pitcher safety. I think it is time for us the players not to accept cheaters and bat altering in any manner. People like Kreugs should not be hailed as a great player while his actions continue to do harm to the game.

Yeah, Many post's are missing. It just goes to show how NOBODY in this game has any morals at all. From the top to the bottom cheating is accepted. I just glad I don't never will and still win without it. Good luck to all of the losers that have to cheat to win. What have you really won? I hope all of the cheaters enjoy defrauding their opponents out of their money.

I love the combat anti-virus, I swung kevin's bat from anaconda sports and loved it. I figured his bat was a special bat, but I bought one from him with a nice discount and it took a little while and my bat is hitting as good as his was.

Idahoreb,
This is a very positive post and I do agree with your thoughts, the name calling B.S. is about all some on this board a capable of. I see that einstien has appointed himself as the message board bully or the rip-it reporter. You have the need to know who I am, for what to be a bully in person? I'll chose to ingnore you in person. Keep up the good work Idaho maybe some good will come of this.

I have to agree with TNG on this one. Although you may not like his point of view he does ad some very good opposition to ones point of views. Einstien he has disagreed with you on most points but that does not make him wrong, maybe you should look at his point of view a little more constructivly and you may learn something. Pitcher safty and senior bats don't belong in the same sentence yet you come on here and promote a bat that is not approved and you make claims that it out performs the senior bats that are approved. Mabe that is why it is not approved. I guess you just want a bat with no limit on performance so you will never make an out? This game has continued to get easier for the senior player yet no one moves up in class.

Discussion: What could this be ???

Einstien,
You seem pretty touchy about the bat. you said it had 400 swings and MR STONEMAN so it only lasted 405 swings. I've seen guys hit many different bats with all different balls and distances and last at least that long. Hell I saw the combat guy in Illinois hit them way out in the parking lot way past 400 feet with 375 comp balls (I still have a few of them) after he bounced them on the barrel of the bat and hit them over the fence.
It sounds like you can't take any criticisum about the bat from a seemingly honest guy. I have always enjoyed deciphering MR Stonemans posts and have found them to be enlightening.
However your posts lately seem to jaded towards the rip-it bat and that confuses me because you can't even use it. Why are you promoting a bat that you can't even use in senior softball. Are they paying you to endorse the product?
It all just seems odd to me. My team started out with ultras, then a few switched to combats, now we all swing them. Yes they will break but no where near as fast as the mikens. Only a few of us have broken them and all have lasted over 1000 swings, with low comp balls.

As for Ken I've only seen him play in Illinois and he has a great swing but I have been to the major world series three times in the past 4 years and if he has one of the most powerful swings in the universe, I would certainly like to know compared to who?
Your post sounds like Kenneth Lay from Enron, there is a very good reason for everything that happened we just don't know what it is. Maybe the bat just wasn't that good.
Maybe he just did not like it that much. Is that a possibilty? Maybe they aren't paying him enogh to endorse the bat? Maybe this is his honest review of the product. It sounds that way to me. Don't beat a man down because he like to lick a different flavor of ice cream.

One thing I do agree with you doke, is that all of the teams that make it to the TOC should be automaticly bumped for the following season. Then you will be able to compete with other teams that are bumped. The best will be bumped from the level you are going to.

Duke,
I don't know of any senior tourny's that are unlimited home runs. All I have played have home run limits. No HR derby's there.

Man I am really disappointed that this thread is dying. Sandbagging and playing down is probably the #1 problem in softball. Every year there are just a few major plus teams competing, yet every year there are major teams that win. How come there are not more major plus teams to play?

#6
I re-read the post and yeah it does sound like alot of crying. You say you don't have the power of MOST of the AAA you have seen or played, so that means you must have the same or more power than some. I have played teams with more power than mine and we out hommered them during the game, does that mean they don't have as much power because we hit more than them 1 game?
Many things go into winning in a team sport. Team work for 1 is most important. A good pitcher can can make a difference in the game along with solid defence and the list goes on. Base hitting has won more games than any of us will ever win so power is not even an argument especially with home run limits.
I have been on both sides of a good old fashion a** kicking and expect to involved in many more to come, if not I would say we are playing in the wrong division.
Good luck play hard and strive to win, your sponsor will be proud.

You are right #6 I can't understand how this happened also. Since you played in the T.O.C you must have won something. Your team should have been moved to the AAA at the start of this year just remember every time your team steps on the field you have a 50% chance of losing every game you play. This game is about compitition, sportsmanship, and fun the minute you believe you should win is when the game has lost. You are complaining because you won a championship and now have to move to level that will challenge your team to play better, that's pathetic. Your sponsor should be proud of your accomplishments and push you to become better. I wish I knew how many people have and still played this game without ever winning a championship? We will probably never know that because those teams play for the compitition and fun of it and don't come on these boards crying about it.

lecak,
I agree with you on your gm etc analogy. Again why would combat make the rip-it better than the combat?
Batwise or should I say hr bill. CE is combat say whatever you want to but they are the same. Do you want to know how I know, I have been there.........

Yeah, combat makes the rip-it reaper, I'm sure they made it so much better than their own bat. That would be really smart.

Son? I hope that a 54+ man equals son to you. Get over it rip-it has never designed a composite bat. They may be buying a good one from combat but you and the owner of rip-it couldn't design a composite drinking straw. What would you do without Fred and fitz?
C.E. composites is combat check there web site.

combatbaseball.com/ When you google c e composites this is what you get. Go design some more stickers for the bats and we will sand some down for you.
