This is just one players opinion. I liked the balls being used at BLD and did not mind U2's not being used for a change. I saw a lot of great defense by the outfielders and infielders (in the 50's, 60's, and 70's). This, to me, gets lost in the mix with most of the 50's play a power game. Nice to see a homerun once in a while, but not all those guys hitting them out would be able to do it in the afternoon with 90 degree heat and no u2's and a 375 ball. To see a well rounded game with defense and hitting is something I appreciate more than 10 to 12 homeruns in a game.

Discussion: What Would You Change in Senior Softball-Part II

Rod-I agree with you , where are we going in such a hurry? I played with both the 1 and 1 and the full count last year and much preferr the full count. As Tait said, most time is wasted in between innings. What we do to speed up the game but yet stay loose, is have several players take a ball out and quickly toss it around two or three times. That keeps us loose but yet does not slow down the game. At any rate, the only thing I would really change is making sure the integrety of the game is maintained and eliminate or punish those that try to cheat. The comradiry (spelling?) and the participation are what is really important at this stage of the game.

Just read the NCSSA bats that were banned and it said the Ultra II gray bat? Are they referring to the Legacy and if so why is it any different than the Ultra II?

Duke:

I love the idea of suspending a player and or his manager for allowing cheating to go on. Amazing isn't it, here we are all over 55 or 60 and still have to even concern ourselves with this foolish behavior. Have a great upcoming year all you seniors and lets help clean up our game as much as we can.

Grown men playings kids games. We should be pleased as punch to be able to play this great game. This is my second year back after a seventeen year absence. I will not let this idiots that stack teams ruin my good times. Follow the rules, turn in the teams that are cheating, and let the system do their jobs. If that is how some grown men get their thrill, you should feel sorry for them. I will not dwell on this any longer, but I think all that cheat to this degree are nothing but LITTLE men.

Discussion: Balanced or End Loaded?

thanks stoneman, i did read on and found lots of information. I am mainly a line drive hitter with some pop so it sounds like I could go either way (whichever feels more comfortable). Most likely end loaded. Thanks again.
