May 22, 2013 Jetboy	Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: You make the call I guess we got hosed the other night. One out, runners on 2nd and 3rd, fly out to left. Runner on 2nd thinking it was two outs takes off on the hit, runner on 3rd properly tags and scores. Defense throws to 2nd base getting the runner who left early for the third out. Defense successfully convinces the umpire the run does not count.

Feb. 29, 2012 Jetboy	Topic: Product review Discussion: Looking for a backstop net... ...something I could possibly use in my basement and/or outside. I'm looking for something I can set up a batting tee in front of and hit softballs into. Any ideas on where to look?
April 12, 2011 Jetboy	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Local leagues testing bats This would be in Midland Michigan. I haven't seen what kind of device they are using to test with but I assume it does some kind of compression test. It would detect bats that had been shaved but not bats that are shaved after getting the hologram.
April 11, 2011 Jetboy	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Local leagues testing bats Anyone else doing this? Our league will not only require the proper ASA logo but will conduct their own testing and put a unique hologram on each bat before it can be used in league play this year.

I didn't read every last message in this incredibly long thread but I would like to add a good first baseman is important to a team. Does do much good to have a shortstop with a great glove and a rocket arm if there is no one across the diamond who can scoop the ball up.

"Jetboy, in the scenario you describe I'd guess that guys wife has more issues with him than simply not calling her that night." I don't presume to know what issues the two of them may have, I just found it interesting that it prompted so many of the guys on the team to call there wives the next time we went late.

At a recent ball game we played a make up game an hour after our regularly scheduled 7pm game concluded. At the end of the make up game, as most of us were leaving the parking lot, I saw one of the players wives arrive and give her husband a piece of her mind about him being out so late and not letting her know. Next game that player wasn't there but nobody had much to say other than "Did you see that in the parking lot last game?". During this game it was decided to make up another game since one of the teams wasa already there on another field. At the conclusion of our first game I said to a group of teammates "I think I'll call my wife and let her know we've got another game" a guy chimed in "I already called mine" and a second player said "Can I borrow your phone to call my wife?" But for the grace of God go I.

A good throw to me in plenty of time and I tagged him as he crashed into me. Another player on my team suggested he did it in order to make me drop the ball. Is that legal? If so, should it be?
