Discussion: Vegas Bracket - 55 Major+

Dave, I apologize if this has already been corrected. When I look at the elimination bracket for the 55 Major + it shows games #7, 8, and 9 as all playing at 6:30. However, game #9 is between the losers of games #6 and 7. So shouldn't game #7 be played before game #9?

The 60s is even worse. 4 Major+ teams and 31 Major. Guess there is a lack of desire to compete against the best.

George, go to the Huntsman website, seniorgames.net, they have a section of players looking for teams and also a section to post your team looking for players.

Discussion: 2016 melee

I have also been hitting the new Adidas 26 oz balance bat for the last two weeks. I literally took off the shrink-wrap and hit a line drive HR on the first swing. After the bat had about 60 swings on it, I compared it my Dudley 26oz balance "gamer" bat. Hitting a variety of 44/375 and 52/300 balls, both bats had about the same distance and exit speed off the bat. Because the Adidas bat was not yet broken it, the Dudley's sweet spot and feel was still superior.

I now have about 140 swings on it and I can feel the barrel opening up and the sweet spot increasing. Also, unlike the Rebook Melee, the barrel so far has no paint chips or stress marks.

The one comment I have heard from several other players who have hit this bat is that they feel it swings light. Since I have not yet weighed the bat, I am not sure if the bat is indeed light or if that is just part of the feel of the bat.

I hope that the weather stays nice and I can use it in the Nor Cal tourney this week.

I have play in tournaments with this ball and I agree with Tim. You need to hit this ball square. Your bat choice should be what you are most comfortable with. We never had any issues with damaging a senior bat hitting this ball.

Both Tanel and Boombah have good comfortable turf shoes. I would suggest looking into using KT tape on your achilles tendons when you play. It definitely helps.

Mine was torn at the elbow and I was lucky to have a very good surgeon.

Discussion: Torn Bicep Tendon

I completely torn mine about 6 years ago swinging a bat. I had surgery two days later and was told the rehab would take six months. I started playing again after the six month layoff. It took quite a while to get my power stroke back, but I think that was more mental then physical. I have been play pain free since I came back.

Luckily, it was not my throwing arm. I probably would have been scared to throw hard if it was.

Both teams are playing this weekend in Tulare. You might want to go and see if they need anyone.
