I'll be back home in Houston on 8/2/13 and I was just wondering about the sat morning practice at Bellaire park, is anyone welcome to practice or do u have to belong to a team? I'm 57 and had a chance to play a few games up in OKC and I'm hoping to continue playing so I am looking for a team.

So I'm sitting here (Hinton,Ok.) at work looking out the window daydreaming bout playing ball, the golf ball size snow flakes are falling pretty steady right now and it only makes my desire to play more intense.Seems like the days of playing are far away and memories of playing the years before are not even sufficient enough to satisfy my hunger for the game.I can only hope that the days of spring, summer & fall are right around the corner and I'll be back in the ball park satisfying my hunger for something my dad taught me so long ago. Hope to see you all swinging bats real soon,PLAY BALL!

ju25 I have a Stealth Speed SSR4 and I'm thinking bout getting a Blemished 2013 SP13S2 end loaded Power Brigade. I paid $150 for the SSR4 and they want $140 for the SP13S2, now back in the day I had some power and Easton was my favorite weapon, I can still hit with some power and I think the SP13S2 might be what I need to complete my game, we'll see...

I'm going to tell you what guys... I was researching all the bats Miken has to offer (and most of the senior softball sanctioned bats are Miken)and since every bat they offer has no warranty I'm not about to pay $200+ for a bat that cracks as easily as this thing does, also most of them are only senior softball sanctioned, not ASA, USSSA etc...I think I'll just stick to my Easton

Well, thanks for your input guys it's good info like this that helps some of 1st time senior players not make a mistake when it comes to proper equipment. I am a long time Easton man but did not know that senior bats hit longer the those that are not senior sanctioned. As for the warranty,I believe that should be in place ,as you said, because of the price difference. The Miken Ultra2 did catch my eye so I guess I'll have to add that to by bat bag. Also Vinny I played in Vegas for 20 yrs in my younger days, Harrison Door,Mueller Stripping,Blackmons,The Killer B's out of the old softball center south of tow, great softball in Las Vegas. thanks guys for the info...

Last year was my first playing senior ball, I purchased a bat on line and checked all the info to make sure it was SSUSA approved. The info on the web page listed SSUSA approved along with USSSA, ASA,ISF,& another I can't remember, but when I recieved my bat and SSUSA was not stamped on the barrel so I called the salesman and he assured me that it was SSUSA approved. I downloaded a copy of the bat info just in case there was question, is my bat legal for SSUSA play?
