Sundevil,
Here in Ft Myers, I play at the Lee County Sports Complex. This is where the Winter Nationals were played in Nov. The batters box has a carpet under 4-5 " of dirt. It feels spongy , but one thing is that it stays level. Some hitters don't like the fact that you cannot dig down, but I think
its better in the long run.

Hombre,
I believe TrumpBall had said that hitting the middle of the ball (line drive hitter) as opposed to catching the lower half takes more out of the life of these fragile bats. I am wondering how Audie is doing with the Red Combat ? Does it last longer with close enough performance ??

Thanks for the reply Einstein, if I have an umpire that I
don't know , I might make a comment if my curve is
working .

Discussion: Ilegal pitch call.

I have a question concerning a pitch that I sometimes use. After
I get a strike on the batter (count is now 1-2) I will place my left
foot on the right edge of the rubber and stretch to the right,
while in contact with the rubber throw a curve from right to left.
My question is , can the batter lean into the pitch and let it strike
him even though it would have been in the strike zone ?
