DoubleL10,As I mention on a earlier post, only if four other teams show up.Herb should of lowered the cost since the Heartland association is new in the softball world, that would of help him on attendance for his first tournament. We have already played D.O.C. four times in the last month while attending the SPA & ISA Nationals. To pay $575.00 & only one other team shows up in your division,I don't see it happening.

DoubleL10 tell D.O.C. to make it a foursome in B'Ham since the Heartland Nationals is having problems drawing Major teams.I told Hennesey today that the Wild Bunch already has a invite to the TOC & that we would forfeit the rights to the second place team if we were fortunate to win the tournament. He mention that since theirs no Major Plus teams we could enter as a Major Plus & would win the tournament by defalt. We then would be allowed to play the Major teams & if we win this would allow a playoff for the remaining Major teams for the Championship.I don't know if I explain it right but since we will be force to play Major Plus next year & already won a invitation to the TOC its a moot point.I haven't discussed this with my players but their shouldn't be a problem,we just want to play competive softball.

Talked to Herb Oliver last week in regards to how many 60 majors have signed up. The Wild Bunch will only attend if theirs a minimum of five including us.The amount he's charging & to play the same teams we just did battle with in the last two nationals is not worth the cost.He mention that D.O.C. & Jimmy's Joes has shown interest in the tournament & if two more commit we will be there. Our next two tournaments will be in B'Ham for the SSUSA Southern Championship & Labor day weekend,Burlington,NC ASA National.

What a great ran Tournament under the circumstances.I never had the opportunity to play one pitch in all the years of playing softball. Truthfully any one of the eight teams could of won this tournament & we were fortunate to win our first game in the double elemation. Due to a fatal mistake of the D.O.C. player sliding into home for the third out which was the winning run.Well we out score them in the extra ending & won the game. Its exciteing and a great privlidge to play against such a talented teams.

DoubleL10,If you read my earlier post on June 30th after the Maretta tournament it should put things in perpective. The teams that complain our some of the teams we played against before the the National. You & your team have never played the Wild Bunch until this National.Anyway Ridge went over our stats for the for four SPA tournaments played this year & allowed us to stay major where we belong.

KBL,the results for the 8:30 game against Greco Hitman has not been posted yet on the SPA web sight. If they win that game they have to beat the Texas Ledgens twice, which is not likely.

Doublel10,I would like to inform all the Major teams that that cried to Ridge that we should be Major Plus. Our Major Plus team lost our last two games in the in the SPA Major National tournament to finish fifth. We hit three homeruns in five games & score 10 runs against LL Roofing & 4 runs against D&K which 15 run us. For the cry babies of the World either appeal your rating our start recruiting better players.I would like to congratulate my two all tournament players Glen Grantham "Preacher" age 68 hit two homeruns & hit 824 & Ron Ingram "Hottie" playing great defence at short stop & hitting 765.
