| Aug. 13, 2007 RedEye | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Congrads to Ohio Silverrados & the teams we played Terry M, Congrads on winning the 55AA Eastern Nat\'s in Elgin this past weekend. You & your guys are a class team & we had 2 very close games. Enjoyed talking to you & Randy, Bro, Geno (pitcher), Dave, Bobby, Mac & the guy who got line-drived in the shin on Sat. Good Luck the rest of the year. Blue Chips, Oshkosh Ambassadors, Chicago Classics Gray & Indy Fog, I enjoyed playing against you guys & talked to some Old friends (Nancy Allen, Eddie) & made some New ones (Johnny P.) Great weekend to play softball. Balls were hard, fields were in good shape, except for the 275\' fences, Umpires were respectable. Any time at our age for us to be playing ball is Great. Hope every one has a successfull rest of the season & hopefully see you guys on a diamond real soon. John Mayes #16 Dayton Legends 55 |

Declaire's M Ohio Silverado's AA maybe 1 or 2 more not for sure. 55+ teams Dayton Legends AA Newtone Const (Shones) M Ohio Silverado's AA Steel Dawgs (Silver Legends/Lonestars) AAA maybe 1-2 more but again not sure |

| Oct. 3, 2006 RedEye | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Vegas AAA MV, yes the Base Hawgs are a Class Act & YES the fields were the worst fields I have played Senior Ball on. You were 3-5 inches below the plate from either side. No shade hardly & 1 Umpire on Fri./Sat. NO score boards, water in dugout was warm at times.......... I know I will NOT go back to Vegas for this tourney. John #6 GL Fusion |
| Sept. 15, 2006 RedEye | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Doctored Bat in Seattle? From the ISF/ISSA web site under RULES: 19. BATS: All bats used in ISSA play must be official softball bats approved by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) unless prior approval given by the tournament officials. Bats must have their original paint markings for complete identification. Tournament officials have the right to keep any bat suspected of being altered or otherwise illegal for a period of thirty (30) days to have it inspected and/or tested. Any bat found to be altered or illegal could result in the player and manager being disqualified from future participation in senior softball. Any team protesting a bat alleging it to be altered must post the Bat Protest Fee of $350.00. |
| Sept. 15, 2006 RedEye | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Doctored Bat in Seattle? A bat was taken in June @ ISF, Manassas, VA & sent off for testing & to this date NO word about it has been said. It is a shame that when you are allowed to use the U2 that someone would go & use an Altered/Shaved/Painted bat. It is running WILD in all the Associations & someone is going to get hurt. Hope no one I know ends up being the UnLucky one. The players Need to stop this before it gets out of hand. |
| Aug. 25, 2006 RedEye | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Platooning. Yes or No No |
| Aug. 21, 2006 RedEye | Topic: Website comments Discussion: gekle builders rating Mich. Vet, I believe there were only 4 maybe 5. There wasn't even a AA division this year in Rock Hill, SC. Yes, I agree with the ratings.......they can change at any time at the drop of a hat...................dosen't make any sense to me either. TNT was moved up to Major after they won the ISF in June & still are shown as Major but they played AAA in the ISSA in Manassas this past weekend & finished 2nd. Big ????? on that........ |
