Discussion: Does your team track player statistics?

Thanks for the input.

I have the same question as 17Black: Do some teams use scorekeeping or statistics apps during the games (on phones or tablets), or do you enter statistics on your computer after the game?

Also, would teams be more likely to use scoring software if your league (or tournament) owned an account and gave access to every team manager and player?

Discussion: Does your team track player statistics?

I am talking with players and managers to research what software tools are most needed in softball.

If your team tracks statistics, do you have a good solution that makes this easy?

Would you want to use an app on your phone or computer? If so, what features would make a new stats tool indispensable?

If you already use software, what do you recommend?

Please send me your ideas or call me to talk about how your team handles statistics. If there is sufficient interest I will develop new tools and apps for teams and leagues.

Thanks for your help!

Discussion: Can you register online for your local league?

Does your league give you the option to register and pay fees online? If so, is it easy to use?

I am developing software tools for leagues to easily register players, manage team rosters and schedule games. So that I stay focused I'm talking with players and organizers to make sure I understand what they need to better organize their local leagues.

What is the hardest part about running your local league and how could online tools make it easier?

Please send me your ideas or call me to talk about how your league handles registration, payments and communication. Hopefully the software I build will be able to help your league.

Discussion: renewal registration online

To renew your player registration online with a credit card, you need to log in to this website with the email and password we have on file as part of your player record.

If you see a photo of yourself when you log in then you should also see a link to click for registration renewal. If you do not see your photo then its likely we need to first update your player record. Please call the office so we can set that up for you -- (916) 326-5303.

If we don't have your email address on file, please call the office so we can add it to your player record.

If you don't know your password, you can go to this page to have it sent to you by email:

wagon487,

If you find a mistake in something you posted, we recommend you post a follow-up with the correction.

One potential problem with allowing people to edit posts, is they might be tempted to use rough language, or worse.

However, in the future we might be able to offer message editing with a time limit of, say, 5 minutes. That's when typos and mistakes are usually noticed. But after that messages would be locked.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Discussion: Faster message board

Instead of slowly displaying on one page the entire history of this message board, it now quickly displays the 20 most recent discussions, or "threads," per page.

To view previous threads you can click the link at the bottom of the screen. Each time you scroll down and click the "Previous 20" link you will see past threads in increments of 20.

This change is implemented to increase the speed of the message board.

As always, you can use the search feature to find keywords in messages and news stories.

We are interested in your feedback. If you have comments or questions about this or any other website feature, please let us know.

Thanks.
