I know and hope most of you guys are all bright enough not to get suckered into a poor judgement purchase. True also... if not interested don't respond. However to "the answer" we can all play the copy and paste ebay game all day long. This is not a rare bat. Taking no sides here just offering a heads up.

Discussion: Senior bat care and durability

To my fellow softball players....yes bat warmers do work. Especially so on senior bats due to the thickness/thiness of their barrels. All of the above recommendentations are in fact prudent as well. Also no need to pay $50 or more for one. If you are creative and observant you can make your own. Just my personal experience and in no way scientific however they have allowed me to add a bit more life to my bats. Hope this helps. Gary 19 no need to chirp in on this one but i'm sure you will.

Discussion: Why give an award if it doesn't reflect outcome

hitt2 My response was to also clarify your incorrect statement regarding the fees! In addition your coach was given by the tournament director the option then and most recently via phone to correct the lack of the word "champions" on the shirts. On both occasions he declined. This was not a deliberate or vindictive act towards your team in any way. An unintentional mistake may have been made and several times offered to be rectified. I highly recommend that you or your coach contact the tournament director directly to clear the air.

Hitt2...Just to set the record straight: (1) Your coach was awarded the shirts with the explicit option that if he/team did not like the ones provided the tournament director would have additional shirts made for your team. Also instead of the standard 15 shirts your specific team was given several more for your extra players. (2) Your coach/team was also awarded a plaque for your winning of your division. (3) Finally your entry fee was NOT the $500 plus as you stated but rather $300. Suggest you may wish to get your facts correct or at a minimun confir with your coach prior to going public on a message board.

Discussion: Here's the thing, seriously.....

Come on guys......a high school co-ed league, 5 local city league championships (out of 6) as well as attendance at some unknown (college or community college) in North East Ohio. That coupled with a life behind a key board..... You cannot possibly challenge those credentials! I'm off to burn my "special bats"

Discussion: 52/275 Ball

From an former post: Did not wish to enter this nauseating debate but wished to state that i understand the issues regarding the quality and performance of the current Senior ball (Trump Stote). Little has been said regarding this ball and its relevant performance in the heat. No secret here that it turns to mush at approx. 90 degrees. Great for our Mad Dog spewer of .52/275 sludge. That notwithstanding it is a good, safe and fair ball in cooler temperatures and have yet to hear one complaint (other than the heat issue) in years on the tournament circuit. In fact numerous suggestions have been made to replace the Stote with the Baiden FIRE ball which substantially stays harder and better performs in the heat. I cannot or will not speak for the masses. HOWEVER...i personally hit several times a week with a large group of major/major + players AND included in our batting practice balls were many of the actual Trump .52/275 balls TESTED IN LAGUNA CA. FACT: the general consensus is that these balls are in actuality "garbage", performed poorly and very well could be considered a "limited flight" inconsistent ball. Solution: Select and play in tournaments and leagues that offer the down graded ball you constantly harp about. Let the others who enjoy the current standards do what they wish.....

Discussion: any one find a Miken warm up jacket in Reno?

Thanks guys for the kind words. Yes, I'm the same Dennis first baseman for Wilson a few years back, then Timberworks 55's & 60's. Mike if i would have known you were with Robson Ranch I would have asked you for one more run at Reno on Sunday morning. All kidding aside glad to get your jacket back to you I know it holds some memories. John B. of Timberworks was also instrumental in its return. See you at the next SSUSA tourney.
