| Oct. 29, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Age eligibility... ? SALSAKID49, I was bron in December and Yes he can start playing next month in LV.And Play the whole year as a 50 y old even though he is only 49. We few who are winter babies do have an advantage when it comes to being born at the end of the year, except in Biddy Basket Ball if I do remember correctly. Its been a long time since I was 12. |
| Oct. 26, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: What does it take to be a Major player? Listen Guys, IMO, Any person that is 60 years old and older, he or she runs, hits, fields, throws and can Tie their shoes is a 5 tool player and BLESSED. The reason I didn't include speed? I don't believe you have to be fast, but you got to be quick. Those first 2 steps, getting the jump if you will on the ball. Quick Reaction, Quick feet, Quick hands. Quick to pop. Oh Sorry, please exclude the last Quick. But you get my drift. |
| Oct. 17, 2012 canIjack | Topic: Bats Discussion: Take responsibilty Hey silk11 actually I'm happy for you, not everyone is so fortunate to get a replacement bat with forty swings on it (any No Warranty Senior Bat). I've just helped a team mate get his New Miken replaced with 19 swings, and that took over 6 weeks before I received it. If this is your first Miken that you have cracked? Personally I would look to another senior bat for more durability. Miken U2 have never been durable. |
| Oct. 15, 2012 canIjack | Topic: Bats Discussion: Take responsibilty See what crying gets you...LOL, this was too too funny. What does No Warrranty mean now? How many swings before the "NO Warranty" goes into effect? 10-40,1-50 or just 1 swing in or out of wrapper? |
| Oct. 11, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Cheyenne Park for Worlds You still can hit Crump, but don't tell everybody, they know.lol 2001 Thats when I was introduce to SS. My first and only trip to Detroit(Looking forward to get back there, I have peoples in Lansing and Saganaw- spell check not working). 2001 is when I also started playing with the Mavericks. Yes,Pine knob sure did beat us. A year later the 2002 Mavericks won the LVSS and started on its winning ways and the next 10 years was simply awsum(Thanks you again Ken Lipenski). |

| Oct. 10, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Cheyenne Park for Worlds Oh No crump,60 major+ is I'm where I belong, and you know that man. Guys up here don't cry when you bust a couple of line drive pass a pitchers ear. A couple of my friends on GSF said we were sand bagging? I've never had to fill bags with sand in my life. So I had no clue as to what they were talking about.lol We are where we belong. We'll be just fine. We will be adding a few more M+ players and then it’s on Baby, It's on and Crackin. Really looking forward to next year, Hey Good luck the rest of the year and I'll see you soon. Your Brother in the fight against Ignorance Kennard |
| Oct. 9, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 2012 vegas worlds Yes, I have to strongly agree also, there were a lot BAD calls, way more than I expected at a World event. A few of those calls were so so wrong, I felt bad for the team that it went against. They did played a big part in some games. a lot of wasited time over not knowing or wrong call. There was this guy who umpired our last game. He made 3 bad calls at 2nd base on us at Cheyanne Park Saturday night and the next day he umping at Arroyal Grande, the 50 Womans, Still making bad calls. He was always out of position. So they must of known these guys were bad So moved them around, park to park. Replacement Umps. LOL |
| Oct. 9, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Cheyenne Park for Worlds Congrates to All the Winners and Runner ups. There were some Great Teams & Players on stage a few weekends ago at Cheyenne Park. The Best that I have seen in my 10 years of SS. Hey Crump22, What’s going on Man? Seems like we just can't get together. No St. Louis trip for me this year. How did you guys do in the BASA? Our Team D&K stayed at the Cannery East. I did see your 60s pitcher/coach in the Cannery East lobby Thursday evening. Sorry to say, but I just couldn't get away to see any Major games. The Schedule at Cheyenne Park got all mess up when a Team in the M+ forfeited and left the Park. Only to be brought back 2 hours later to play the forfeit game again. Which push us back 2 hours and ending up having a 4 game wait? Sitting around, walking and talking to Stone man in the parking lot. We couldn't even leave the park, because we had no idea who or were we would play. I Didn't think thay handle that correctly but the name of the game is to beat whom ever they put in front of you. But I Loved , the competition it was FANTASTIC. I'm back in Major plus. Major is fine, but it feels different with the Big Boys. Crump let’s talk about me playing for you if West Coast 60s decides to stay home next year 2013, we’ll talk. Hey Webby, like you said Saturday, "Looks like we have to take a rain check on that Beer", that was a long day. Webby you and I will be playing against or with each other for the next few years in Major+ and I’m sure that we’ll have that beer and a few more before we let this game go. Way to show up GSF! | Oct. 8, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Steve Imlay's Father Passing Hey Steve my friend, just reading this post and I am so sad to hear of your Dads passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, during your time of sorrow. May you find peace in knowing that he is in a better placed." To be absent from the body, is to be present with the LORD". Only those who have sat in that front row knows what you are going thru. Both of Twyla and my parents have gone to a better place. I look at my Mom and Dads picture and it brings nothing but a SMILE to my face, and I say Thank You. You'll be just find, Kennard and Twyla |
| Oct. 3, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: las vegas worlds Whats up Mad dog, Seeing you reminded me of those Stoneage/Maverick days. Hey Guys and Gals I was at Arroyo Grande Sunday to watch the Women and 60M Men (since D&K 60M+ was knocked out Saturday evening) and witnessed an inside the park home run also. It was hit by 55 year old woman. Debra Hibbler of the Silver Foxes 50+. She hit the right field line and was off to the races. No errors! Also I witnessed one of the best catches that has been made in senior softball. It was made by a 50 yr. old woman in left field. The ball was hit well. I was sure that it was over her head. The lady turn and ran, I mean ran the ball down, Just ask the guys who played for Tenn, Over the Edge 60 major, we all went up to her and congratulated her on a great catch,. I must say that if you ever get a chance to observe any of our senior ladies play, you will enjoy yourself. Go out and see and support them. Bye the way….I did see a few 300’ home runs hit by a couple of Girls from Virginia. They may not be as physical as men but these old girls can still play. Kennard |

Everyone there at BP knew Joe. A moment of silence..... We here in Southern California and Senior softball have lost a Good Man, Joe, you can rest now, Your job is done, Good Team mate. |
| Aug. 22, 2012 canIjack | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: non tournament players Hey CAPT D5, No disrespect on this Board that I have ever seen towards Senior Leagues ball players. We are all Senior Leagues ball players playing in week and weekend Leagues, But some of ous don't have a life so we play Tournaments. So fine something else to be upset about. By the way Jose, how did NCI finish up yesterday in Temecula? When we left to go home, it had to be over 100 degrees. Kennard |
