Discussion: Boombah Turf shoes

Tanel is the way to go. Is the only shoe that I wear a little pricey but worth the extra few dollars. Last longer and are much comfortable than anything else out there. Have used Boombah in the past and ElitE, they are pretty but don't last. I am with Omar I don't have to change shoes in between games. I Play SS with the Flat bellies and OF with big bellies LOL. Good luck.

I really care less what you do and if you are a sandbagger or not, but just because u play by the AAA rules it is no excuse, you still a 50M team playing AAA. The difference is not on the HR allowed but rather on the overall quality of players. I played for few 50M teams and most of the time we didnít hit all of HR we concentrated on hitting line drives and playing defense and by the way we won the SSUSA TOC 2010. However, the problem here don't lie with you but rather with RB and the association that is willing to allow you to play down so they can collect the money, at the very least your team should have given the 5 runs as an equalizer even though a lot of people including me donít believe that is much of an equalizer. Enjoy your win, however if I was one of those AAA that you beat down. I will be disappointed that I paid the money for a chance to come 2nd. Mis 2 centavos.

Interesting a 50M team playing AAA and don't give any runs. I guess you are very proud of your win. ISSA you pay you play, that is the beauty of it RB don't care he just collects the money. Congrats on your sandbagging win...My 2 centavos.

If any 50M/AAA or 55M/AAA is in need of a player, please let me know. I usually play SS with the flat bellies and OF with the big bellies (LOL). My preference is SS, 2nd, LF, RF, RC, RF. I don't play 3rd and I can't pitch other than that I can play anywhere. I hit for average with above average power as needed. Still very fast for my age and have an above average arm. Feel free to contact JAY C for contract negotiations (LOL). The sooner you let me know the better. I reside in Chesapeake, VA.

Discussion: ISSA Virginia Beach tourney rained out.......who got screwed????

bkb555, That is correct as of Tuesday of that week by Wednesday the forecast if I recalled correct was 90% Friday, 80 or 90 on Sat and about 70-80 on Sunday. I recalled calling my coach and telling him not to come that it was going to rain. I can not be certain but I could almost put money on it that the VA Beach Parks a Rec cancelled everything by Thursday, they are extremely protective of the PA Park complex. Bottom line, keeping money for services or supplies not received is wrong at any level.

I agree that this is wrong. However, the weather forecast was rain all weekend. Next time pay attention to the weather. I am local and I knew that there was no way that the tourney was going to make it...but nobody listens to me... (Pat and Big E). What I thought RB was trying to do was to try to get at least a game or two in and then pocket the rest of the money, because he knew that there was no way that the tourney could be finished. I didn't know that he was going to charge $300 anyways, wow that is juts dirty. However as I said before in ISSA you pay you play...no roster signing or verification. That is the good thing the bad thing is that he also can do what he wants, he is ISSA and in the mid-atlantic region ISSA is the best thing going. SSUSA has to many rules for me. Signing off.

To all of the team coming this way, welcome. Wow I just saw a 55M+ registered to play 50AAA and RB allowed it. As I said before that is the beauty of ISSA you pay you play, no rules. Good luck and hopefully they win it all, because if not what a dissapointment...LOL. Good luck to all of the teams.

If any 50 Major or AAA is in need of a player I will be down there playing 55. Our games on Friday are at 1300 and 1800 at City park. I am driving down around 0800 but could leave a little earlier if needed. If you need me for Friday let me know. 757-685-4043 or during the wknd as long as it does not affect my 55 playing time.

Always. This is my advise especially to the flat bellies. We can give you a new heart, liver, kidneys...you mention it and we can get it for you...but as of now we can't give a new ding dong...we can inflate it for you but that is...LOL.

Thanks a million to the Pill N Pill boys we battled even though we came a little short. Overall it was a great weekend I had a lot of fun and got to play with a wonderful bunch of dudes. Hopefully my performance of Sunday will not revoke my welcome to the team. If you guys ever need me again I will be there. Just send the sign like on Batman and I will be there assuming that my wife allows me...and you know that if I bring my pink chair I did very well (inside joke) LOL. Great tourney...Thanks again.

My wife just change the plans for next weekend so now I am home alone. If a 50/55 Major/AAA needs a player for the subject matter tourney please let me know. Currently I am only playing with the flat bellies locally here in the Tidewater and I haven't play SSUSA if a few years if I recalled correct...I played two 50 major tourney last year with ESB renovations but none were with SSUSA. I play SS for a very competitive flat bellies team. I can play SS, 2nd or anywhere on the OF. I usually play LF, LC or RC when I play senior ball because of my speed and arm strength but I prefered dirt better than grass. Line drive hitter with some power. Good attitude. If somebody is asking why I am not on a senior team, simple because I don't have a lot of time available to dedicate to senior ball; however after August I will be looking for a permanent senior team to play with. My daughter will be leaving for college. I know is a little late so if I don't get an invite...Good luck to all of the teams.

Guys you would actually sell your soul for 10K and a player that somebody needs to pay so he can play. What good does it do you having 10k but no team. I agree with Jsheeran...heck with the money if the mighty ball player that comes with it is a trouble maker with attitude and most likely think that beacuse his friend paid for him to be on the team he can dictate how the team is run. Actually I will be embarassed if I was the mighty player...Glad that you did not take the money and evaded the headaches that most likely were coming with it. My 2 centavos.
