I was just looking at some action pics from the TOC 2011 the game beteween us (Metro Stars) and Southern Elite. Wow great pictures and great plays. Gunny was out at homeplate but called safe, Big D stretching like a youngen. Jerry on SS diving for a ball; Stack diving for a line drive after a long run...actually I believe that Stacks play was on of the crucial plays of the game; and of course Roby Alomar JR (me) sliding on 2nd head first...LOL. Good times guys. Miss you all.

I am wondering if 50 Major senior ball is dying in the VA and MD. I guess just Mid-Atlantic and Metro stars are the only two left. There are few very good 50AAA though. I saw where Baer is also looking I would have thought that you guys would have been pick up immediately. I am just going to mainly play locally with the youngens and maybe play some 55 AAA with a local team nothing in stone yet. So I guess I could also be a restricted free agent. LOL. Good luck finding a good team.

I just got one from Alan, I am going to mainly play locally with the flat bellies...I believe that it is hotter than any Utrip bat on the market right now. It is not Utrip or NSA approved. My concern is the durability, but it does have a limited warranty and I don't hit as hard as you Gents. Alan thanks for the expeditious and courteous customer service.

Thanks for your comments it is greatly appreciated especially coming from somebody with your resume. Here is the problem most of the Senior Tourneys are out of town (VA Beach) and it cost a lot of money to play senior ball...It is very difficult for me to committ because the expectation is for you to be there at every tourney...you are talking between gas, hotel, food over $200-300 a weekend. Most teams play every other weekend which money wise cost around 400-500 a month. I can't afford that. Metro Stars was different they were fully sponsored, but driving 200-300 miles by yourself gets old especially coming back on Sundays after playing the entire weekend. So we parted on a mutual agreement...one of the best teams I ever play with, amazing bunch of Gents and for ever I will be in debt to the Marks and the team. I enjoy senior ball but can't afford it...so I play mostly with the flat bellies at no cost or very little maybe $20 here and there. I can play senior now and then but most good teams need committed players which is understandable. That is why now and then I come on the board and put my name out there...Personally I believe that it should be allowances withing the various Senior ball organizations to allow players like me to play as needed...I know a lot of people spend a lot of money to play, perhaps they have it like that, I don't. So is not a commitment issue as much a is a finance issue. Again thanks.

If any team bordering VA is in need of either a 50 or 55 AAA/MAJOR player please let me know. However, I will need assistance with the flight and hotel cost. I play SS/2nd with the flat bellies and mainly play OF on senior ball. My speed is more helpful on the OF on senior ball than with the flat bellies. I did not play any SSUSA tourneys last year. Played few ISSA 50M AND one 55AAA tourneys last year.

Interesting I have one and I believe is nicely broken in but I don't here any clack or may be I have no idea what a clack is. Great bat especially for hard line driver. I personally like the Ambush for power much better. Mis 2 centavos.

You never said anything about wheelchairs for that I apologize. I am a retired Naval Officer with 24 Years of service. Not all the wonded warrior teams are on wheelchair. I am very sensitive to it. The point here is that a senior bat for the most part don't last that long even with little people swinging it. Hopefully you get a new bat. I strongly suggest that you don't post anyhting here if you do. We all are going to want a replacement bat. AgAng my apology for the misunderstanding. Good luck.

Not sure that SSUSA endorses this tourney. KBL that is good for your teams. DHF for example that was a local team that we put together to play at VA Beach tourney. We won one game if I recall correct and I can mentioned at least few more. There are 203 berths awarded make the math. Rememeber in ISSA if you pay you play...there is not a whole lot of enforsement when it comes to rosters. At a lot of tourney rosters are not even signed...Even though it sounds as if I don't like ISSA the contrary is true, I believe that for $500-600 you should be able to play where ever level you desire and with whom ever. Sometimes for one reason or another you might not be able to play any particular wknd but can play others so if a team is in need of a player or two why not allow that player and team be able to hook up and play. Personally I believe that there is way to much regulations on Senior ball at this age should be mainly for the fun of it and frienship...My 2 centavos.

He might be referring to the ISSA TOC which is in Jan. However the ISSA is not a truly TOC because everybody qualifies regardless if you won a tourney or not. Check the awarded berth list if you don't believe me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.

Please tell me that this fool is not paying $300 for senior bat. Dude I know that Yellow combat might last a little longer but at the end of the day is a senior bat. Combat has what 6 models and do you really think that they are all that different when all of them are priced about the same. Hey I have a rock that sings and give you luck with the ladies...sell price $100.00. e-mail me @ afoolishard2find@Stupidis.whatstupiddoes. LOL

Wagon hope you make some money.

My question is. How many Senior Utrip tourneys have you played on the last 5 years? Me personally none. So in simple words who cares what they do or ASA does they are nobody when comes to senior ball. My 2 centavos.

Baer, Thanks for your kind words. To tell you the truth playing with you guys back 2010 and listening to you, geoff, Stack, Tony, Pat and the rest of the squad talk about hitting did a lot for my swing. It was like a kid on a candy shop, I appreciate all the knowledge and the tutoring. Hey guess what I can play 55 this year and I know that there is a team that wears purple out MD that can use my services and it will be perfect fit. LOL. It is always a pleasure to share the field with you. Say hello to the wife.
