| Sept. 22, 2012 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Ratings SURE ITS FUN TO KNOCK OFF A HIGHER RATED TEAM, HOW OFTEN IS THAT GOING TO HAPPEN, EVEN WITH 5RUNS. WE ALL PLAY THIS GAME FOR THE LOVE OF IT AND THE LEAGUES KNOW WE WILL CONTINUE TO COME BECAUSE OF THAT. AS MANAGERS WE HAVE A RESPONSIBLITY TO OUR PLAYERS TO TRY TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE SPENDING THEIR MONEY AND TIME IN A EFFORT THAT AT LEAST HAS A CHANCE OF BEING SUCESSFUL. THAT IS WHY I PERSONALLY PUSH TO MAKE SURE MY TEAM IS RATED PROPERLY. |
| Sept. 21, 2012 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Ratings ARMIHO, TRUST ME, THEY WILL HAVE A GOOD REASON. :) THEY GIVEN ME GOOD REASONS FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS! |
| Sept. 21, 2012 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: SO WHAT DO WE GET OTHER THEN PLAYING FOR $675.00 PER TEAM IN VEGAS THATS OK GUYS, FOR MY $675.00 I GET TO PLAY IN A BRACKET WHERE IF WE'RE HAVING A REALLLLYYY GOOD WEEKEND WE MIGHT WIN 1 GAME. LOVE THE THE GAME, BUT DO NOT APPRECIATE THE "ATTITUDE" TOWARDS THE PLAYING LEVEL TEAMS. I'M VERY SURE THEY WORK VERY HARD IN THESE ORGANIZATIONS, BUT I REALLY DON'T THINK IT'S "ALL ABOUT" THE PLAYERS. |
| Nov. 17, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Winter Natl's in Fl. i could not agree more about the umps! some even said they were not familiar with rules and oh well its just this weekend! We just thought the lighting was bad in Phoenix, this was just as bad if not worse. When a 55plus player hits the ball up the middle and the pitcher cannot see it coming it really doesn't matter if there is a "rule" to protect the pitcher if he can't see it because of the poor lighting. ps: if we plan on using the one piece mat instead of the mat & the home plate, MAKE THE WHOLE MAT WHITE. |
| Aug. 26, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: RATINGS Good job SSUSA, it's about time the Texas Hold'em team was moved to AAA. When they have all their players they are AAA or more!!! |
| July 17, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: ratings??? Mr. "jr", get a life! I'm sure you are not playing to insure a AA rating. I do not play for the above team mentioned, but did play in Austin. |
| July 17, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: ratings??? I see ssusa is still updating ratings after normal deadline, but I really don't understand how 65 team Texas Hold'em is still rated AA. They are easily beating all the AA teams & have beat some Major teams. They must be coming in under the radar! SSUSA, have you looked at their win/loss record in both your & SPA tournaments? They are a VERY good team!!! |
| May 5, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: irving end of june anyone going to Irving at the end of May? Hope to see Texas Hold\'em at this one, I think they may have been sand bagging in Baytown. I think we saw the real team in Georgetown. |
| May 5, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: drop dead rule #6, TD has received enough abuse. I don't think it was her decesion, came from higher up. Everyone, including her, agrees it was a bad idea. I don't think we will ever see that happen again at a SPA function. |
| April 28, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: SPA TOURNAMENTS JR, I agree with you concerning way tournament was handled this weekend. But, all teams are considered aaa until they have played in at least 2 tournaments. And after your team killed everyone in georgetown I don't blame them for putting you in the gold bracket. Also there are several of your players that are well above aa level. If you play as good as you did in georgetown you want to be classified higher. Good luck in the future! |
| March 17, 2008 wingfoot | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: congrats great tournament this past weekend in Austin. congratulations to Texas Hold\\\'em, new team I guess. but they did a great job beating the 2 major teams, Legends & Greyhounds. Keep up the good work |
