You WANT this guy on your 60s team. He's an excellent hitter/pitcher/OF and a better teammate.

Leo "Matador" Harrington on Athletic Outlet/Bathtub Billy's is a excellent pitcher with lots of different grips/release points and a 3B glove. Fun to play behind. Monster bat. Monkey Bar MVP.

Al - 90ft bases, wood stick, pinkys, and you have to chug a beer everytime you score.
Oh shite that's stickball. Really just thought this question was worth a bump for an answer - I'd expect 2012 rules. Like you said doesn't matter just make it warm weather!

Switched to Pravastatin 80s helped alot. Had serious muscle issues with Lipitor. No issues in last 4 years since switching - not an endorsement - just a personal fact.
Good luck lowering cholesterol however you do it.

Discussion: Thoughts for the upcoming SSUSA Rules Committee meeting!

Cut the spot! If the spotted team gets 5 runs in an inning don't give the 1 run spot on top of that inning. In fact, if they get to 4 - call the half inning and give them 5. If the spot is meant to even things up - lets make it possible to get even. Shortens the game and makes sure the over team gets 7 innings to hit and make up the difference. It shouldn't have to come down to the last open inning every time. Cut the spot.

Discussion: bad Ultra 2

AP? Do you think we WANT to send back a brand new bat that we expected to use as a gamer? The bat you got back from me didn't have much life left because IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY LIFE TO BEGIN WITH! I was told by the guy I bought it from to "keep hitting it - it will open up". I trusted that bad advice and now you, the manufacturer, give us this attitude because we eventually send it in for you to analyze?? C'MON MAN. I've been using this bat for BP because its no good for anything else. I'm used to breaking a couple of Maxloads per year in games with no complaints. I STILL CAN'T BREAK THIS ONE!!
Try being your customer for a change of perspective.

Bernie.Good points about the Utrip rules (don't mind them) but have you tried a USSSA bat lately? We didn't even own 1 among us so we got one for this. Holycow! Hot! Our guys don't like the fields in either CapeMay venue. Good luck.

Hooked some turf shoe nubs with back foot sliding into 3B last night and was saved by my knee brace from a serious sprain - swollen and sore today - freak stuff does happen. Artifical turf is much different than gold ol' dirt.

Same letter yesterday. Now I have a $200 U2Maxload doorstop. Its a dud.I'll never use it in a tourney unless I break the others. Time to find a bat from a manufacturer who takes responsibility for the inherent variability in his processes in case same thing happens to them. Have swung the Reebs & Combats - like them too. Bye Miken.

4x4 - Have a microwave batwarmer and I'm a plastics guy (30 yrs.). Continuous operating temp high limits of the resins (epoxies/polyesters) and reinforcements (carbon/aramid/fg) used to make bats are about 300F so don't heat 'em up above that for any length of time or you may do some damage - especially with cool/cold ball use. Hotter is not better. Used correctly they won't hurt or alter a bat and might help the life cycle up here in the north. JMHO. Good luck.

Would that be for baseball or softball. (Bump). Joe goes through more equipment than anybody I know. Maybe you should just check every Marriott in the USA - I bet you left it at one of 'em. Miss your smiling/growling face (and 800 avg.) on the field Joe.

Stick/$Bill - our home field was 19th St. btwn 7th & 8th Aves. The two-o precinct would block off the street so we could play teams from other neighbs on weekend mornings. We pitched a one-hop pinky and used 4footers with tape. Cars were in play. Balls that didn't come back down (roofs/balconies/etc.) were outs. A proud McManus Mutt!

Congratulations LA Legends! You guys played great and well deserved the GOLD! We really enjoyed the competition in this tourney (even if there were some administrative issues).
The teams we got to play - LA Legends, San Antonio Mission, Texas AC Legends, Tellico TN, and Delaware (to name a few) - were deep in talent and class.
Hope to see you all again sometime.

Tiant, Tekulve, Valenzuela, Marichal,Quisenberry all made the big game more challenging and fun to watch with their deliveries.
Many more did it with their timing, control, and forethought.
It's hard to fault a pitcher for being athletically creative to get an edge in a hitters game.
