Discussion: bats and cold weather

You don't see warning on the Ball about using in cold weather. It is indeed the bat that is affected by Cold whether. The ball does cause the damage but it is because the bat flexes less or nil in cold weather.

Discussion: Handicap System

I have always thought that this issue has been over-complicated.
When Plus plays-Major or Major plays a AAA team, simply play by the lower rated rules- no extra fielder no runs to the lower rated team. Just play the game with less homeruns to hit.

Discussion: Why Not Have A Players Committee Of Real Players To Over See The Rules

Well said Leelee
I like to drive my Corvette fast. I donít like driving the speed limit. I like driving about 85 in the 50 without getting stopped or getting a ticket. Who cares? Thatís what I do. I did it when I was 16 and drove a Dodge now Iím 60 with this Vette I canít!?!
When I get stopped by the police Iíll just tell them. I donít like driving slow Ė I like driving as fast as this thing will take me. I put all that work in that engine ,change the oil once a month, polish it every day and now someone is telling me I canít drive it fast. I canít believe someone actually created this rule (law) where there is a limit to how fast I drive. This is my car. Itís MY car. I have friends that drive fast too and they donít like the rule either!
When I have my hearing in court, I sure hope there are 3 or 4 more of us speeders in the courtroom so that they can back me up. I hope that the Judge likes to speed too. I canít understand why they donít understand that itís best for me, my other speeder friends and the car that I drive fast.
If they donít understand and they give me a fine, I think that Iíll get the other speeders that were in the court room and my other friends that speed to back me up and see if we can get the Judge to start a survey to see if we can get this rule changed. Or better yet create a committee for us to make sure that I can drive fast. I canít drive slow. ďI donít need no limitĒ. Forget that everyone else has a limit, after all I am the majority and I deserve to drive as fast as I want to.
All tongue in cheek, but you get the picture.

Discussion: players please respond to rule changes

This string really boils down to "I" .What "I" want. What"I" like. Prima Donnas. All revealing an inflated view of themselves, their talent, and their importance to the game. Can't spell Prima Donna without the letter "I".

If you (sic) are as good as you are saying and I know that some of you are, then 1 or 2 more homeruns isn't going to make your head any bigger than it already is. If you are good enough to hit it 380 feet-then certainly you're good enough to hit it 180 ft. Oh! forgot "I" don't like to hit it down"

Mario is incorrect in his statement that, they(SSUSA) are trying to make everyone happy. They (ssusa) are trying to make the majority happy. In most instances/cases the Majority rules.
He is however correct in his statement that "it will never happen" because our every thought or statement in response to the new rule begins with "I".

jwo-9 I tend to agree with you regarding SPA. Because they hold the Major tourney and the AAA tourney on separate weekends. A team can actually play in their Major tourney then go back the AAA weekend and play that tourney as well. It happened this past season. Not a team with the same name. The SAME team...

Discussion: louisville outlaw

Taits. I think that he is asking if the bat is legal for Senior Softball use. ASA would have no bearing. To that point I would say that it is. The only bats that I know that we as Seniors cannot use are the Original Ultra and the BOOMBAH Cannon. If I remember correctly the Outlaw is an Aluminum bat ? Hard to believe that it would be hotter than a Reebok or Ultra II. jmo

The Flip -flop rule has no bearing on Home or Visiting team. If you were Home team and the beginning of the game you remain home team thru the completion of the game regardless of Flip Flop.

Discussion: So, you don't wear pitching protective gear!!

Webbie there are already removable pitching rubbers. They just aren't used.

The Base Plug has bristles to help you locate base receptacles could be put in place of the removable rubber.
Two would or should fit right over the removable rubber locators

Discussion: Solar bat warmers

I have a solar power bat warmer that holds 8 bats. On sunny days (which doesn't happen to often up here) you can put the bats in there for about 20 minutes, pull them out and hold on to the barrell! Burns your hand in 5 seconds! As for hitting, it absolutely makes a difference! You don't even feel the ball coming off the bat! The one you get up here goes for about $100 Can.Our whole team swears by that bat box!

Discussion: Plantar Fasciitis

These worked for me. I wore them in all of my shoes not just softball shoes. I now play and walk without pain but, I continue to wear them. I've recommended these to others and they all had the same positive result. I did also change the insoles to all of my softball shoes to SHOCK DOCTOR insoles and wear them in tandem with the heel seat. (Tanel sells SHOCK DOCTOR).I use the HTP but,I know of a few that bought the GEL as well.
