Discussion: Softball Scorekeeping Software

I use "I-SCORE BASEBALL" for my IPAD. Download for 9 bucks.
Google ISCORE BASEBALL. There is a tutorial on line that demonstrates the software.
Everything that you're looking for.

Discussion: question regarding paint chips

I agree with MONSTA that per the bat there probably isn't anything to worry about but , for being allowed to use may be a different concern.

I found that removing the clear coat before using a new bat helps prevents this from occurring. Spider-webbing is mostly cracks in the clear coat. No clear coat, no spider web. If you properly remove the clear coat you won't have spider webbing and you will minimize or completely eliminate paint flaking.

Discussion: Fastpitch bat legal in slowpitch????????

a fast-pitch bat can have a drop of no more than 12. The drop is calculated by taking the bat's length in inches and subtracting its weight in ounces. For example, a 34-inch, 28-oz. bat would have a drop of 6.

Discussion: Not Pleased with Rating System

Hey Tommy.55 major and 50AAA both have a 7 rating. So the assumption would be that you could play 50 AAA. As always defer to the office for confirmation.

I understand the issue about no Major tourneys but, your team (Smith's) can play 55 Major with anyone. You guys have 4 or 5 Major players plus George who was ASA MVP 55 Major. You and 2 or 3 others played 55 Major in the 2011 TOC.

Customcleats is legit.I have seen their work and a friend of mine uses them alot. They can do any shoe. Expensive though to buy a pair of shoes and then pay another 30 forty bucks to have them modified.

Discussion: Here's my question on RATINGS

Neck a player is allowed to drop one level. So if you were rated 55M+ you could only play 55 major or 60M+.Even if he sat out for three years he could only drop one rating level lower.
55+ has an 8 rating index. 55 M and 60M+ both have a 7 rating. You could actually drop to 55m or 60M+(without sitting out).

Paul that would be a question for the SSUSA office. There may be a special circumstance ruling that could be made. Again that is an SSUSA issue to rule .I don't see how you get around the fact that the players are rated Major Plus. That won't change.

Can drop one rating index per season.Weather or not they have played 50 plus their old team rating follow them (the player) for two years.

50 major plus has a ratings index of 9. 55AAA rating index of 6
In this scenario they could only drop to play 50 major 55 maj plus-both which have ratings index of 8.

Discussion: Glove Off Season Care

I agree E4/E6Mink oil is the ticket.I buy the paste not the liquid though.Wipe on as you would paste car wax and rub off excess.Cleans,Conditions and waterproofs.I never put anything liquid on my gloves. That includes glove oil.Makes them heavy

Never had foot problems until I wore BOOMBAHS.Absolutely The worst softball shoe for foot health.

The first thing to do when you buy a new pair of softball(Especially BOOMBAH) shoes is to rip out the insole and replace it with Shock Doctor or another orthopedic insole. I'm sure there are others but I found SHOCK DOCTOR to be the best. Also If you'll be using the same shoe that you used last season-replace the insole because there is absolutely nothing in that shoe that is supporting your feet.
