like that allan...have you patented this method yet.....LOL.....
i haven't been able to use mine yet for games except with a 52 ball (actually this is the only ball i have hit with it)and it does hit them real nice, just like my melle did.....at the moment tho i'm battling a back prol so haven't been able to really lean on it for power, but my easy line drive swing is really propelling the ball....

why is it the batters always want it their way,but will cry and whine when the pitchers ask for something...get over it batters, the damn ball comes at you at 20 mph max,and you know exactly where the ball has to hit to be a strike..your not at the whim of an umpire calling strikes like in call strike...let the batters box be.......learn to stay in it.....

neck that is the reason for the 52 ball being used,it doesn't do the damage as the 44's do.....regardless where your hit.....also most times in bp,the pitcher/thrower is trying to get thru bp fast and not worrying about whether he needs to be practicing fielding....most teams/guys just want a pitch to hit,not a pitcher's pitch to swing at..in fact i hear batters whining even then about not getting cookies to hit.....try to make it pitching practice also, will cause a big uproar....i say if it is gonna be a strike in a game, swing at it and get over it........

texas....in reality all we need to do is go to safer equipment...aka the 52 ball..yes here it comes again.....as noted in the reebok vs legit bat thread the worth hot dot was being hit pretty good with the worth legit bat.....but hey you all would rather use a screen, make the pitcher wear a suit of amour,etc.....then swallow a little pride and use a safer ball.....as i have said before the hr hitters will still hit their hrs,as it should be anyways...there won't be any mishit hrs and such, just legit hrs.......

joel i understand that,as basically is the only time i have been drilled(many years back)as we don't think our own teammates will hit it back at us.......what bothers me,is that it makes me lazy for actual play on balls out to the side of me that i think i should be getting....bp is throw the ball go behind the screen to get another ball to throw, and not practicing backing up or setting up to field.. as most want the next pitch to be thrown(fielders)so the next guy can get up to hit.....

paul, you would be totally wrong calling it that way......no runner is "required" to move forward....yes he can move back ,and yes he can be put out by a force unless the force behind him is taken off, then he can go back to the base he just left with no penalty....

mnmasters...that is a total falsehood except for one time, and that is for the batter going to first from home.....at all other times a runner can go back to the base they have previously left...now that is not to say he'll be safe if he is in a force situation, but he can go back......look at it this way,r1 on first,r2 on second...ball hit to 2b,he tags r1 coming from first, and then decides to throw to 3rd to get r2(which will be a tag play now),r2 goes back to 2b,b/c he decides he can't make 3rd,all legal...the ump is wrong that a runner can't go back to the base he left.....

tri18,is there a way we can tell if our barrages are one of the first batch that have had troubles.....i'm asking b/c it'll be march or april before it gets warm enough to swing them now.....just got mine about 3 weeks back...have put about 50 swings on it with the 52-300 ball......

we don't use the screen, but we now use the 52-300 ASA ball(last 2 years) and have no prols with that ball....not sure if i would like the screen, bad enough we use it for BP for safety ..........

hey ed what is the route in Texas you'll be taking.....i know you'll be using I-40 leaving Albuquerque,nm that'll get you to Amarillo, but to get down to Dallas you'll need to use hwy 287 going south on the east side of Amarillo....albque to dallas is gonna be 12 to 14 hrs driving easy approx 200 miles alb-amar,then 300 to dallas(speed limit)......get gas in albque and amarillo as that'll be your cheapest gas..... i live just off of I-20 if you gonna use that to go all the way across to SC......

Discussion: REEBOK BARRAGE vs MIKEN ULTRA 2PIECE MAXLOAD

the reebok barrage is for real...i just got one and hit it yesterday and liked it as did the 2 other guys i let swing it as we put the first swings on it sunday....we were using old ASA 52-300 balls also and balls were flying pretty good with it...just can't wait to hit the senior 44-375(the old ASA spec ball)....

maxloads seem to break to easy in my opinion....

i like the rip-it mask,as it is metal....it also is very light and has great vision, unlike some of the plastic masks.....also worth makes a pitching helmet which is pretty good.....i found mine on ebay...the rip-it can be found from $35-49....the worth helmet is around $60.....
