Discussion: remedies for arthritis

I've got arthritis in my left ankle.I found that when I wrap my ankle with a strong magnetic necklace the pain is almost totally gone. Also at the beginning of the year I was experiencing a lot pain in my groin area from probably to much BP. I started taking the Performance Formula that Tri18 was promoting and within two weeks that pain went away. This might be something to look into

Discussion: S.P.A. 65 MAJOR PLUS

I'll be playing on a 60+ team called Carrs Shell at two SPA tournaments. In Sylvania,Ohio Aug 2nd to the 4th and in Dalton,Georgia Sept 5th to the 8th.Are any of the board members going to be at the Ohio tournament? It would be good to meet and put a face to the names of some of the board members.

Discussion: ASA Only?

I play in an oldtimers 3 pitch league that adopted the hotdot 52/275 last year.At the beginning of the season I didn't do well, but the last half I started to hit it better. When hit correctly the ball will fly.I did hit 4 that went over a fence that was 275ft away. Yes I was hitting from home plate. This is my bragging post but I do a lot of bp . I don't like the sound of the dream seam ball.I hope no one hears of it up here.

Discussion: ASA Only?

Hi taits...I was informed that the asa only bats are being tested the same as prior asa bats were except that they are now using the hotdots 52/300.Apparently if you use a 44/375 ball with the new asa only bats they will be hotter than the new 1.20 thumb print stamped bats. That is why here in Canada we will not be allowed to use them in SPO(Slow Pitch Ontario) and SPN(Slow Pitch National) sanctioned tournaments. If you have a new asa stamp as well as the thumb print stamp it will be accepted.I do agree that not all bats in the same category are equal. And I'm also a fool who owns to many bats and will bring different ones with me .

I might be playing on a 60+ tournament team. In Canada we are only allowed to use the 1.20 thumb print stamped bat. The team will be playing the odd tournament in the states that I believe senior bats 1.21 are allowed. If I had an ASA only bat could I use it there?

Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats

When I was on vacation in Daytona I tried to order a the new miken ultra11 2pc el from Kelleys. Because my home address was in Canada they said they would not send it to me there? I ended up ordering and getting the monsta fossil 2pc el sent to the resort I was at in Daytona(thank you Carl).I received it and was able to swing it at the Altamonte Springs softball camp.I let anyone who wanted the use it swing it.I'm by no means a smasher but after the first game I got a good a feel with this bat with three singles and a double, first single was fielders choice .Second game two home-runs,two triples and a hard line drive single. The third game, triple, walk, single and then two intentional walks.Last game two triples and three singles. Obviously I had a good weekend swinging the fossil.I won't say that it is better than the ultra11 but it sure impressed me and my team mates.
From what I read maybe Alan aka Tri18 can get one of these bats to compare to the other senior bats and give his input.

Discussion: ASA vs 1.21

Personally a senior bat(1.21)will last me a long time, obviously I'm not a masher. If the new ASA standard bats are a bit better than a the 1.20's and I'm assuming durability would be better than the senior bats.Would it not make sense for a masher to swing the asa only bats? I do realize that the new asa only bats have only been out for a short time so durability is still in question. As far as price most of asa only bats are priced equal to the senior bats. Just thinking out loud!

Discussion: Altamonte Springs, Florida, 2013 Winter Softball Camp

Thanks Bruce.....I got on to the site. Not to much going on at this time on it. If I hadn't planned the cruise I would have registered for the Classic Spring Training in Jacksonville. Maybe another year if I can get the wife to agree.
I'm actually planning on staying over night at Jacksonville on my way down Feb 12th.Now if there was an off chance that I could tag up with some people on the 12th and get some hitting in I would come down a day earlier??? I'd just have to make sure the wife is occupied(that could be costly)

Thanks surf88....I'm trying to register on the Classic Spring Training site . It's telling me "Currently your account is waiting for approval from a staff member. Once an administrator has approved your account you will get access to this forum."
Hopefully this won't take long. It would be great to meet up with some players to do some bp when in Florida.

Discussion: Altamonte Springs, Florida, 2013 Winter Softball Camp

Thanks for the info guys. I've now have heard a lot of bad reviews on this camp. I've got a cruise out of Miami that leaves on Feb 14th and back on the 18th. Is there any other softball training camps around Florida either two weeks before or after these dates? I'm driving down from Ontario,Canada. It would be nice to get some softball time when I'm down there.

I'm planning on attending the 2013 Winter Softball Camp at Altamonte Springs, Florida. Has anyone on this board attended this camp and if you did what was your overall experience and thoughts about it and would you go again?

Thanks in advance

I hate to admit it but I keep falling off small boards I wouldn't have a chance on staying upright on a surf board. I did do some research on things to do while in the area and there is a lot to see and do. But I'm a fool and enjoy BP. Up here I'll hit until there's snow on the ground or it's to cold. It's a good form of exercise. :-)

I will be vacationing in Atlantic Beach from Oct 20th to the 27th.I googled the location and I see lots of ball diamonds. I was wandering if I could get together with anyone to get some batting practice in? If I can't get anyone interested I'll leave my ball equipment home, which I'm sure will make my wife happy. But I would really like to bring them.

Discussion: Best website for titanium necklaces?

A friend of mine was all excited about the phiten necklace that he had bought.Told me because of the necklace he had more energy. So I bought one and wore it religiously.I did not fell the energy that he did. That was five years ago.I eventually stop wearing it.This year I was told that I have arthritis in my ankle from a break from thirty years ago.I have been experiencing pain for a lot of years but this year was the worst.I was at a flea market a month ago where a lady was selling necklaces made of magnets I put one on and right away I could fell the hair on my legs standing up.I bought it.Not all the pain went away but the pain lessen quite a pit.The first ball game that I played after that day was remarkable I actually ran the bases for the first time with almost no pain.Since then I wear the magnet necklace around my neck and I rap the phiten around my ankle all the time day and night with no pain. One night I forgot to wear the phiten to bed and woke up with some discomfort. The lady that I bought the magnet necklace told me that the magnet helps the oxygen flow through your blood better. Why the phiten didn't work for me before I don't know, but the combination works for me now. I hope this info can help some else.
