He runs a good tournament and has had good showings thus far. He does everything via SSUSA rules and allows all senior bats unless the park doesn't allow them. How many times have I traveled 500+ miles to take a chance on having good luck in a 2nQ tourney that had 40-50 teams in our bracket? More than I care to remember. We were cuttin' up as usual. he was anxious to get back to playing. I've taken BP with Craig, spent alot of time with him away from the field. Some(very few) associations will allow 40+ or 50+ guys to swing the senior bats when they're playing against the kids. The reality is that there are alot of guys over 40 that swing much better and harder than the kids, so most of the associations won't even consider it. Tell your son to get on a 40+ team. He can swing all of the senior bats he wants! Take care! |

Out of curiosity, I counted the 50 Major+ teams...16 listed...3 on the west coast. I immediately know of 2 which are sponsored. If the 50 Major & Major+ divisions are mixed at some point, you will have more competition and regardless of your level, I can't see why you'd be satisfied with the same dance every tourney. Whether I agree or not, I did appreciate reading your post. |

I know I've made a number of calls and tryed to generate as much interest as possible. With SSUSA offering 40+ divisions in most of their qualifiers, LVSSA coming aboard next year, and Redding Masters starting up in Northern California, NCSSA is going strong, WSL in SoCal offers some good 40+ competition, there's alot available for the 40+ crowd.
