Feb. 13, 2012 armiho211	Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: dfw texas players looking for a team i believe john header has a list of players that want to play on tuesday nites with the stronger boys. there is a possibility that with that list, and depending how many boys you can bring in, combining both groups could be enough to assemble a new team. wouldnt hurt to ask john header. good luck.
Feb. 8, 2012 armiho211	Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: dfw texas players looking for a team LS-32 and hammering hank- trinity view in irving, will have the stronger boys playing on tuesday nites, starting 3/13. as of this last monday, the tuesday nite league only has 3 teams so far. i am sure they would like to have you ,if you can scrape up team. i believe there is a 50 and 2 55 yrs old teams, these are tournament teams, i believe. the guy in charge of the nite senior league is john header cell 817-401-1914. he can answer any questions you might have. good luck.

OBAMA keeps pushing to " SPREAD THE WEALTH AND FAIR SHARE ", whether romney or gingrich win the gop nomination, do you think obama will offer to split his billion ? dollar war chest with the opposition once the campaign starts ?? sounds fair to me, spread the wealth. or like they say, LIBERALS ARE ALWAYS GENEROUS WITH " OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY ". ACTUALLY, both parties will make promises they cant keep, will say anything to get re-elected, once in, all is forgotten and the people get NAILED AGAIN. one thing is certain, the entitlements and over-spending must be stopped, we cannot continue this madness. when it gets to 40% of the population supporting the other 60%, time to move to new zealand.

Worth Area 57yr. old.....Let's try this again. pops- there is a league starting in the middle of march in IRVING,TX. near loop # 12 and irving blvd. park is trinity view on wildwood st. depending on how competitive you want to play, the younger, stronger guys play on tuesday nites, age groups are 50, 55's,not sure how many teams will play on tuesdays. monday nites are for older boys, 55's, 60's, 65's and 70's. the teams are pretty much mixed up age wise. total of 6-7 teams, each team has tournament and rec. type players on each team. the guys running the league are john header cell # 817-401-1914 and fernando lopez cell # 972-816-4525. you can call these boys and they can answer any questions you might have. there is another senior league in richardson, maybe john or fernando can get you a phone number for the richardson league. good luck.

TRINITY VIEW MON NITE LEAGUE TEAM MD- right eye is getting better day by day, the left eye will be done next thur, two weeks after that, i will be disappointed if i dont see thru walls. i think i will still need to wear glasses, due to glucoma and astigmatism problems. one step at a time. too bad you live 90 miles from dallas, could use your bat and " speed" on the base paths. see ya !

TRINITY VIEW MON NITE LEAGUE TEAM looking for 2-3 guys to play on a new SENIOR team we are assembling to play on a monday nite league. MUST BE 55 yrs old OR OLDER, team will have players 55 to 70 yrs old. must be in decent shape as we will be playing teams with some tournament players. TRINITY VIEW PARK- IRVING,TX park is near loop #12 and irving blvd. league play starts around middle of march, and will run in 3 sessions thru october. game times are 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 pm. 2 games per nite. nominal fees will be split among team players. Jan. 13, 2012 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: MEXICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT personally, i would not vote for romney strictly because he has a hispanic background. you vote for the man and his principles and his intentions or agenda in trying to improve the economy and leading the country as was intended by the forefathers in writing the constitution. he is not my man, but if it boils down to romney vs the current occupier, then it is romney. i am tired of the political pandering towards any group, period. i am proud of my hispanic background but i am an american first and foremost, i may catch hell for this, but if a war broke out between the U.S. and mexico, i will not be wearing a sombrero.
Jan. 8, 2012 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: CATARACT SURGERY if you have had cataract surgery done, how long before vision got back to normal. i had my right eye worked on this last thur ( 1/5/12) for distance only. they took the patch off the next day 1/6/12, it looked like i had a white sheet in front of my eye. it is now sunday afternoon, 1/8/12, there hasnt been any improvement, i am taking all my eye drops are required, but i am getting concerned. in my own mind i would have thought i would be seeing something by now. the doctors said it would take a few days , a few days to me means 4-5 days. what was your experience ? help !!!!
Jan. 4, 2012 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: bifocals and softball guys- i appreciate all your points of view based on your experience. i think i will proceed with progressives with transitions. my operation is tomorrow at 9 am, i would prefer to be put under and wake me when it's over. the tendency to blink is the part i am concerned about, i guess they prop your eyes open to avoid this. YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT SEASON IN 2012.

STATIONED OUT OF LONG BEACH, CA. made it to hawaii, yokosuka,japan, subic bay,Philippines, hong kong , so. korea . 4 years was enough for me. think every young man should go through the service, makes one grow up, and get along with other people.
Jan. 3, 2012 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: bifocals and softball steve65- i had the same problem with bouncing glasses. cheap fix : i make my own straps. FABRIC STORES sell 10-12ft coils of elastic, i buy the 3/8" wide in white (matches my hair color ! ) . fold one end of the elastic, take a needle and tread and make a small loop on one end. the opening on the loop must be tight enough to allow the temple end of the plastic frame ( part that goes over the ears) to go in and hold it tight. install one end of the elastic, put on your glasses, then put the other end of the elastic on the other side and measure it, cut it and make another tight loop. the elastic with time will stretch out, when this happens, make a knot in the middle of the elastic, this will make it tighter. you made to play with the elastic a little until you get the proper length and tightness, make a few extras for you bat bag as spares. once you make one that feels good ,not too tight, use it as a mold to more more as you need them. this is a cheap fix, but it works ! hope i didnt confuse you.
Jan. 1, 2012 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: bifocals and softball gary19- are your glasses, progressive or lined ? crusher, taits, gary19- i appreciate your responses. i am getting cataract surgery done this month, but because of a bad astigmatism i may possibly need to wear glasses to correct it. this whole process is scary, but i will do it if necessary to continue playing softball. thanks !

Dec. 29, 2011 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: WHAT TEAM DOES EVERYONE PLAY FOR i am showing what a softball wh--- i am. 1) TEXAS LEGENDS 65'S AAA 2) DALLAS SPURS 60'S- AAA 3) TRUMP SOFTBALL 6S'S ( 2 TOURNAMENTS ONLY ), WILDCATTERS 70'S. no wonder my knees were gone by the end of the 2011 season. in 2012 , i will play mostly 70's with the WILDCATTERS.

Nov. 25, 2011 armiho211	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: IF YOU HAD CATARACT SURGERY DONE: #19- it is getting to the point that i need to do something drastic as far as my eyes are concerned. i have gone thru 3-4 prescription changes on my glasses in the last 12-14 months, and still getting worse if this operation doesnt work, i am basically done with softball. will take it one step at a time.
