Discussion: Looking to play AAA in LVSSA Tourney

My team Colorado Rapid Erectors 50 Major is playing on Labor Day weekend in Vegas but I cannot make it. I would like to play in the AAA tourney the 27th thru 29th. I play mostly out field but can play infield also. I live in Utah. If interested please leave a phone number or email address.

Thanks

Discussion: best weight training to improve hitting

Olie great post. Olie has been a weight lifter and great softball player for years and he definatly knows what he is talking about. This is my take on lifting weights as it pertains to hitting a softball. Currently I workout 4 days a week, mostly upperbody, but there have been times that I haven't worked out at all and have found that I can hit a softball just as far and just as hard as when I was working out. Most guys that play Major plus or Majors can hit the ball out on a consistant basis but the mental part of the game is where you can get your edge. That's where working out helps me. If I go into a tournament feeling that I have done the off the field work it helps a ton with my mental attitude and confidence when I step on to the field therefore translating into more home runs, higher batting average and better defense play.
So working out and staying in shape may or may not make you hit the ball harder but it certainly will not make things worse.

Lecak This is Reg from Mud Hens. I also play on the team as does Hersch. This is a pretty strong team and you would be a great addition. Along with Ollie we will let the boss know you are wanting to play. Love to have you with us.

Johnny - Congratulations to you and all the guys on Fangrabbers. Your team played very well and it was fun to watch you and the Bandits go at. I was hoping to get a chance to play you guys, Olie and I played together for years as Young Men, but the Bandits messed that up for us. Congratulation to the Bandits also we've have had some great battles with them in the past. I'm sure we will see you guys in Reno!

Discussion: Torn Bicep Tendon

Thanks for all the great info. I too tore it while swinging the bat. I am right handed so its my pull through arm. Unfortunatly I thought it was just a pulled muscle and did not see the doctor until 2 and half weeks later, so it is going to be 3 and half weeks for surgery after i injured it. Thanks JMM, Taits and Pieman. I will have to say that being put in that tube for a MRI freaked me out. LOL

Discussion: Torn Bicep Tendon

Just found out that I tore my bicep tendon
from the bone in my left elbow. It will not mend on it's own and I need surgery.
Has anyone had this injury/surgery and how has things turned out? How long is the recovery time before playing again? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

All I know is the Colorado Mudhens beat 4 season's in the finals twice to win the 50's Major. Two great games, it was a lot of fun.

They have not posted anything on the tournament schedule. Don't know why.???

Chuck you sure are welcome. I had to go back and re-read your post cuz I could'nt understand what LP was bringing up the Western Nationals?? Anyway they also play at the Cottonwood Complex which is 45th south and 13th east but I am not sure if any Senior Leagues are going on there. Good luck and nice talking to ya!

Texas Trans I stand corrected. The run for sure counts as long as he crosses the plate before the ball gets to 1st base. Thanks for the needed help!
