Dec. 4, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: hotbats emailed coachbuy.com about the crack in my GBA bat and they are going to replace it, that is great news |

Dec. 3, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: QUESTION FOR OUTFIELDERS Rawlings 14" is the best I've found, a little longer break-in time but well worth it. I use the Nokona NLT Classic glove conditioner to break in and keep clean. You might look at Ebay, sometimes you can find a decent glove a little cheaper, be sure to look at Rawlings site first and decide which one you are interested in then find the best price. |
Dec. 1, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: hotbats It's hard for me to understand why anyone would want to alter a bat like theU2, what's the difference in hitting a ball 301 ft. vs. 350 ft. just doesn't make sense. If they can come up with a device that can detect altering of a bat, I think any violators should be banned from Senior softball for long period. As to the GBA bat, I've got one I've used for two bp sessions and I'm not sure but I believe it has a crack in it, guess I'll be able to tell for sure next bp. |

Nov. 29, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: hotbats Every assoc. in Senior softball is in business to make money, and in order to make money there has to be participation in the form of members at local and national tournaments, In order to ban certain bats and balls, first it would have to be agreed upon by the associations participating in the summit and if some don't agree to the ban it would pit the good guys against the bad guys having teams refuse to play where the hot bats and balls are banned as well as new organizations formed and advertise the fact of allowing the hot bats and balls. It would be a major contraversy in Senior Softball for a couple of years before a meeting of the minds takes place, it that ever happens, and what does happen to Senior Softball during this time, personally I love the game enough to play with a broomstick and a soccer ball, but there are hard liners on both sides of the arguement who could possibly walk away from the game |
Nov. 28, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: hotbats Hey Einstein, are you an attorney, the reason I ask is I spent 30+ yrs in law enforcement and spent most of those years listening to attorneys elaborate, detailed stories, jus tjoking, I do agree with you on the bats and balls, please Garyc and mad dog don't shoot at me for that. |
Nov. 28, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: hotbats Talking about speeding up the game, has anyone ever played in a one pitch game. You can play the whole game in about 30 min. It suits my game fine cause i walk up there hackin, usually the first pitch if it's close, if I ever get 2 strikes on me and haven't swung the bat, go ahead and call the paramedics, cause I've probably had a stroke. And just let me know where the Bud Light truck is in the parking lot and I'll stay til ya'll run my butt off. |
Nov. 27, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Who'd a thunk... If they dumb down the bats, it will only encourage more cheating ie. shaving, rolling, or repainting and re-decaling, and if you remember back when the "restricted flight" balls were in existance, they went through the infield just as fast but died in the outfield. In my opinion, if this happens, the tournament attendance will decrease, especially in the major amd major+ divisions, in some of the age brackets, those two divisions are almost extinct now, so...... |
Nov. 24, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Happy Holiday one and all... Happy Thanksgiving to all and remember "don't eat to you are full, eat til you are tired". |
Nov. 20, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: interesting reading SSUSA when are you going to do something about this trash on this site, there is nothing productive about these people trashing each other and I believe most of us are sick and tired of this childish crap. Please do something before you lose all control |

Nov. 14, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Important for emphasis... Hey, come on guys, this is supposed to be a site for senior softball not for bashing one another, I believe most of us who look at this site would agree, ya'll should sit back and be an observer and just see what ya'll sound like, maybe take your personal differences to something like facebook or the equivilant. |
Nov. 11, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 3 changes Would revise the unlimited runner rule, when you play in the outfield you do a lot of running and then when you bat you run for yourself and if you are a good runner you run for somebody most every inning, and that wears on you after about 6-8 games. Some of these guys can run but rather not for no other reason than being lazy. |
Nov. 10, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: BREAKING NEWS ALERT! ALERT! I've played In AA all the way up to major+ and playing AA was some of the most fun I've had playing softball, they are competitive and yet still play mostly the small ball sort of game and generally have fun doing it, and are for the most part are the friendliest fun loving guys you can meet. I believe if you look at the stats, you will find that AA and AAA will make up a large portion of most every tourney |
Nov. 8, 2010 outfielder | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Question 4 Major Plus teams?? I played on a 65 major+ team year before last and we never went to a tournament and played in the 65 div until the Nationals. We always played in the 60 gold div. I agree that when you reach the major+ level you are doomed. It's hard to compete out of your div., believe it or not five years in age do make a difference |
