| Dec. 29, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: WHAT TEAM DOES EVERYONE PLAY FOR I play on the 55AAA Sigello/Jones Chemicals team. This year i was the catcher most of the time. Thanks: James |
| Dec. 27, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Bats Discussion: Reebok Bat Hi Mad dog: I did try one of the Compat Centuriens late last year and it had a great feel but in the fall league some of them were breaking after not too many swings. Most of the breakers were end loaded. Have you been getting a lot of swings out of them? I probably get 150-175 game swings out of a U2. Thank You: James |
| Dec. 26, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Bats Discussion: Reebok Bat Hi Dave: I hope you and your family had a great Christmas. I am a U2 guy in the warmer months and they do seem to fit my swing but am looking for a little more durable bat for Spring and Fall ball. are you going to play 5 on 5 on 5? Thanks: James |
| Dec. 26, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Bats Discussion: Reebok Bat Hi Ed: I sent you an email from my office and you responded with a price that was quite a bit higher than most are asking. I will be buying one soon so will keep in touch. Thanks: James |
| Dec. 19, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Fortunate Expounded Hi Dave: My older Sister just rescuded two females from the tri cities area. The kennel we take our dog when we travel is also involved in Bully breed rescue. I have had them for nearly 20 years and will always own one or more. They are great dogs but probably not for everybody. I usually play either the Home Course or Lake Spanaway. We also like both Gold Mountain tracks. Thanks: James |
| Dec. 19, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Fortunate Expounded I would do more fishing and get involved in a pit bull rescue program. Would also play more golf but once a week would be plenty. Thanks: James |
| Dec. 13, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Bats Discussion: Reebok Bat Hi Vinny: I know it has been a while but any chance you still have this bat available? Thank You: James |
| Dec. 5, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: What sport consisted of your athletic career? Hi Folks: My baseball started in 4th grade. I was not a very big kid but always had quick hands so hitting the ball hard (when I did hit it) was something I was good at. Played baseball through high school and did pretty well but drinking was much more important to me at that time in life. Started playing softball in 1973 and have been hooked ever since. The only year I took off was 1984, the year I quit drinking. I never did get very big (5'9", 180lbs) but always had very quick hands to generate bat and clubhead speed in golf. In 1988 I made it to the quarter finals of the national long drive championship. The highlight of that was getting to hit against a guy named Evan "Big Cat" Willaims twice that year. Even got to ride in a private plane from upstate NY to the Detriot area where he lived. I was no match for him but it was a blast. On my last ball in the quarter finals (west coast) as I bent down to tee the ball up I looked up and this little old lady was looking at me strait in the eyes and I could barely get the ball to stay on the tee because I started shaking. That was the worst ball I ever hit in competiton because I topped it and it went about 75 yards including the roll. I was rarely the longest hitting guy in a competition but I could usually get a good one in play. In many of these events the longer hitter don't even get one in bounds so they automatically miss the cut. Thanks All: James |

| Nov. 30, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Rules Hi Folks: I have a couple rules questions. If a player is on a 60 major team can he go down to a 55AAA team and not have the "major" tag? If a team is bumped up from 50AAA to major at the end of the year but the team dismantles are all the players tagged as "major" players? If these tagged (or not) players played 55AAA in 2011 are they considered "major" or "AAA" players for the 2012 season in the 55 division? Thank You: James |
| Nov. 29, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: UII Made in USA Hi Folks: It has been a while since this bat was introduced so I was wondering if this bat is worth $40 more than the regular black UII? I will buy one if they are worth the $. Thanks: James |
| Nov. 18, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Impact player rule is a joke!! I don't quite get all the fuss about a team that did not even win the worlds. At the Western Nationals I believe they hit a total of less than 10 HR's. Thanks: James |
| Oct. 28, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Bats Discussion: Made in USA Ultra II I spoke to a few guys who had them in Arizona and they were not all that impressed. I hope they turn out to be a good bat and a little stronger than last years model. I like the black U2 so this would be a good switch if it is the real deal. Thanks: James |
| Oct. 25, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 55AAA results worlds Hi Webbie: We (Sigello/Jones) are not going to Vegas. Do they get many 55AAA teams at this event? It does sound like a good tourney. Thanks: James |
| Oct. 25, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 55AAA results worlds Hi Sam: This is James the catcher and #3 hitter for the Sigello/Jones team. we had some fun games this year and you have a great group of guys. Almost every game we played this year could have went either way until the last inning. You guys should come up to Washington next year and play at the RAC in one of Shane's tournaments. This was a very well ran tournament and the grounds keepers and umpires did a nice job. I did not expect the infields to be as nice as they were. A bad hop was a rare happening. That Bay State team is very strong top to bottom. They spanked us bad in the National Championship game. They were just the better team and deserved the win. Great job to all of them. James |
| Oct. 17, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: courtesy runners I also believe this rule is abused and it takes too much time away from the game. I need work on both legs but would rather run for myself in most situations. I agree with the one CR per inning and leave it at that. I also would not allow a CR to anybody on 3rd base. |
| Oct. 11, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: ON MY HONOR 3 A bat cheater in senior ball should be banned for at least 5 years without exception. a few years back I knew of a few guys who used altered bats but they have faded away. We certainly don't need them and to purposly make the lifespan of a U2 shorter is not too smart. Thanks: James |
| Oct. 11, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Bats Discussion: Made in USA Ultra II the word out west is this bat performs great but it is less durable than this years production models. Can anyone add to this? Thanks: James |
| Oct. 4, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Phoenix Hi birdie: Shane is right that Ruth team is tough. They have a great lineup top to bottom plus they are have are good on defense. I play on the same team as Shane and hope to come by and introduce myself. The company I work for (38 years) JCI Jones Chemicals also is the main sponsor for our club. Thanks: James |
| Sept. 26, 2011 JamesLG | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Changes to the HR Rule - needs more thought We played a tourney in Washington this weekend using the new rules and every player I spoke to liked the changes. The HR rule did not make the games any longer. Are the new rules going to be in effect at the Worlds next month? Thank You: James |
