Saturday games were round robin with the top 4 teams going to the upper bracket, then went to double elimination. The next tournament will be in Anaheim followed by Mesquite May 13-14. Good luck in LV this weekend.

Last year they mirrored SSWC rules on bats, nothing has changed for this year and by the way are you playing for the Mavericks that weekend? Bob

Don't forget that SSWS format has unlimted runs per inn, no time limted and thank goodness for a mercy rule, games could & have gotten real ugly in the amunt of runs put up betwwen a Major + team and a AAA or Major team. Bob

Sweet P
There were 16 teams( 2 no-shows)
I think the breakdown was
Major + 5 teams
Major 10 teams
AA 1 team
I could be off by a team or Two but either way you can see a trend. Bob

Bobby
Because of the format of this tournament true AA & AAA teams do not attend, so really what you have are Major + & Major teams entereing, with the major teams being knocked down( in most cases) to the lower division. Bob

I heard that same thing from more than 1 person (and team) I also heard that either the SSWS or the umpires confiscated some bats that were suspect of being altered, any thruth to that? thanks Bob

I agree with your comment on the fields in Kent. We played there last year and the fields & weather were very nice, to bad this year SSWC cound't nail down the Host Hotel across the street(Best Western on the Green) from the ball fields still can't complain wre on 15min away. On a side note I hope they made the brackets team friendly with last years title game around 4pm made it very tough for teams to catch there flights. Bob
