| Nov. 14, 2012 d45 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: WESTERN WORLDS 2013 If you are talking about the Western Nationals, they were held in Aurora, Co. in 2012. I just heard that they are going back to Sacremento in 2013 even though we had 89 teams our first go at it in 2012. There were nothing but positive comments about the tournament of 2012, but I have no idea why they are going back to Sac. I do, but I won't comment any further. |
| Oct. 10, 2012 d45 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Players need for 2013 We are a 65 AA team in Colorado. Our team is sponsored. Entry fees for tournaments plus 3 uniforms are provided for by our sponsor. We need two good outfielders and one infielder. We have lost players going to the 70 age group in 2013. If your are interested, and your state touches Colorado, contact d69zcam@comcast.net |
| Sept. 27, 2012 d45 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Need three players for team Sorry gentlemen, senior momment. We are a 65 team. Colorado team. |
| Sept. 26, 2012 d45 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Need three players for team Our team is need of 3 players that are capable of playing AA tournament ball in 2013. We would prefer two for the outfield, but not an absolute must. We are a good AA team and may be moved up to AAA level, depending on how we finish in Vegas. We lost 3 players because of age, who will be 70. They will be playing at the next age group. If you are an AAA player, it's ok because we can have 3 AAA players. We have won several tournaments in the last year and were close in several others. If your state touches Colorado, give me a call or e-mail me. Our entry fees to all tournaments are sponsored, plus uniforms(3) are as well. We go to about 5 out of state tournaments a year, plus the Western Nationals in Denver. 303-437-5340 d69zcam@comcast.net |
| Sept. 14, 2012 d45 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Worth Launch 510 I had a 510 Launch as well. The life of the bat wasn't the best, however, I believe it lasted a little over a year. I loved the bat and it was hot! I would love to get another one if someone can tell me where to purchase it. |
| Sept. 14, 2012 d45 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: 65 OF looking for a team for the Vegas nationals I don't think you can just "pickup" with a team if you are not on their roster. You must have played with that team in a qualifier as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong. |
| Sept. 14, 2012 d45 | Topic: Women's softball Discussion: LOOKING TO PLAY IN VEGAS If I am not mistaken, a player can't just "pick up" with another team unless that player is on that team's roster, and has played in a qualifier with that team. Someone correct me if I am wrong. |

| Aug. 16, 2012 d45 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Prayers needed for the Dowell family Fran, you and I have talked quite a lot about you and Dave's situation. I am so happy all the years you got to spend with Dave's father. May God bless you and Dave at this time. Your friend, DuWayne-Scrap Iron-Colorado |
| Aug. 16, 2012 d45 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Prayer: Joe DelaTorre Is In A Tough Fight Joe is in my prayers as I write this. Dear God, by your stripes we are healed. I pray that right now you will touch Joe's body, and may your healing touch Joe. May you give the doctors and hospital super natural wisdom and power as Joe is treated. In Jesus name, Amen. |
| Aug. 16, 2012 d45 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: SSUSA Staff-Masters format in Vegas I agree with Texas-T. The more games the better! We are a 65 team with 4 almost 70 players, and with the expense and being the biggest biggest tourney of the year, we can heal up later! We also want to play teams from other parts of the country, which we don't get to do normally. I respect your view point, Gary, however, I hope we get to play 6-9 games!! |
| Aug. 16, 2012 d45 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: The Passing of Steve Simmons My heart is broken right now. I have lost a dear, dear, friend in Steve. I have a void in my life that I cannot express in words. It was just a short time ago that Steve and I had a very precious four days together in my home during the Western Nationals in Colorado. Life is so fragile. I know that Steve is now with his God and at peace. I can only say to his family, Nancy, Melissa, Lane, and Dalton, I love you all very much and am here for you. May God wrap you all in his love and peace which only He can give. I will see you all in a few days. DuWayne Pillard (Scrap Iron Classics-Colorado) |
| Aug. 13, 2012 d45 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Update on Steve Simmons Thank you all for your comments on Steve. Steve is in very, very, grave condition. It will take a miracle from God at this point. That is what we are praying for. |

| Aug. 11, 2012 d45 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Need a team I hear you, Taits. Steve is gravely ill as I write this. I have to give you kuddos for continuing to play, especilly if you still have pain. |
| Aug. 11, 2012 d45 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Need a team Thanks Taits. I know Mike well, super guy! We played Phiten in the pool play and lost to them by 1 run in 8 innings. We had a 8 run lead and couldn't hold them. Our team has been hit hard by injuries this year. One player with a broken neck, probably will never play again, another with a very bad leg injury, although will be back for Vegas, another with complete knee replacement, one playing now with a torn rotator cuff, two others with injuries that couldn't play. We beat El Paso 911's best of 3, 36-25 in 8 innings, lost 24-25, and then won in the final 20-15. They beat us in Las Vegas finals a couple of years ago, so we returned the favor. All of this is pretty trivial when I think of Steve. There isn't a nicer man, and he loved softball. |
