If we had about 4 more 55+ we could probably compete on a high level in 55+ Major+. Hope we can do this next year and you won't here anything else from me.

We are the old Arkansas Children's Hospital team and most of us are 55+. We can't find enough to field a 55+ team so I think playing 50+ Major is about where we belong. We may hit 5 home runs in a game or we may hit 1. We finished 2nd in SPA 50+ AAA in McKinney, TX 3 years ago and was moved up to Major. The first year in Major we finished 3rd in Kansas City. We haven't done much since then so I hope you can see where we stand.

No I don't like the out and they say they want to protect the pitcher. I can't hit up the middle and would not if I could but there is a great deal of guys that will. I just think there is another solution. SPA did not change the rules. They took a survey and stuck with what everbody wanted.

Guys all we want is for the extra balls hit out of the park not to be outs. If you hit 2 or 3 extra doesn't make you good enough to move up a division. If that's what they want us to do we will but it isn't really fair to us since we've only played major 2 years. I know we hit to many to play AAA and that's why we moved up. But we are not a MAJOR+ team.

No we are a true Major team. We will hit our 5 most of the time and maybe a few more but we don't have enough power to be Major+. I think we could compete but we probably would not win that many.

Our team has no problem with the 5 home run rule for 50+ Major but don't make the other balls hit out of the park outs. Seems like the older we get the more you want to restrict what ability we have left. You are taking the bats out of our hands and not letting us swing away. Not having to change your swing was the most appealing thing about senior softball and now you want us to go back to when we played in our younger days. SSUSA will lose alot of teams to tournaments because of this rule. We will play a few but not as many as we would have.
