| March 1, 2009 Babe | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: How To Make This Board More Friendly I receive a lot of info from this board: there is a lot of talent and a wealth of knowledge here. Enjoy the constructive views; but sometimes it is becomes very destructive & demeaning. Some cause others not to want to post because their comments will get thrown into the blender and disintegtrated. As far as religious views: as long as someone is not calling out another denomination and is offering a "Positive" view, that should not be a problem. I may swing an Ultra and I may mention that on the board, but I will not degrade the Combat or others. Also: when posting, women usually are more gentle with their comments and weigh what they project; me and others on the other hand can blurt out words on a board and not think it through. Maybe this could help: if you have a wife or significant other, before we spew and give others a piece of our minds, read what you are about to post to them........... If they feel insulted; so will the Seniors that read it on this board. Words are cheap; the dictionary is full of them; constructive and destructive.............It is your choice whether to build a thread or destroy a thread. Most people have to go to college for years to earn a degree in engineering; but someone with NO education can use a wrecking ball and decimate a building that took geniuses years to build. You are the power behind your post: emit great, productive thoughts or spew discord.........you have the choice. JMO: Babe |
