| Aug. 19, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Bats Discussion: On My Honor 2 Thanks Einstein, you don't even know me and yet I get lumped in with cloven feet and horns. Speaks alot of your issues. Just because I took the pledge and you didn't I did not drop to slander and bad taste. Maybe you should rethink your words before printing them. |
| Aug. 18, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Bats Discussion: On My Honor 2 In all the tournaments I've been to I can only remember bats being checked once. On the second day the had them back on the field and the umps never cared. Do you really think that the power that be want to get into this. It is too large for them to handle. Not enough enforcement to be had. It seems our only recourse is personal involvement. Therefore this honor oath is very important. I feel sorry for the ones who cannot self impose it. IE. .. I turned 65 and am allowed to play AA when I was AAA in the 60's. |

| July 26, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: maturity I like reading on this board most of the time. Unfortunately it has turned into a slander and animosity filled site with lots of personal attacks and vindictiveness. Is due to the age of the respondents or have you all been this way your whole life? I say try to stay with the issues at hand and leave out the petty bitterness. Would you be this way to each other on the field? I think not. Lets get back to the comraderie that we joined senior softball for. Makes for a better life. Thanks for reading. |
| July 18, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Bats Discussion: What Do You Think I agree with if you go to a lessor bat then lets bring back the better ball. I do enjoy hitting the ultra but I would be willing to get back to softball as we knew it. I think the only reason they restricted the ball in days of yore was because of cost. |
| July 15, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Is this in the rule book?????? I think what you had was a good old fashion senior moment. It happens ya know. |
| June 28, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Stepping out of the batters box I play on these fields all the time. When we first started we had problems like this. We finally figured out that the batters boxes we made to small. They are basically the size of little league. We have adapted to them. The tournamet umps are not used to this fact and I'm sure that contributed to the amount of outs being called. |
| June 6, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Interference? Sounds like the ump got it right. Afterall the first baseman advanced towards him to make contact. It seems that any other contact would be coincidental. |
| May 23, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: WHY? Amen. |
| April 15, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: marking batter's box This is all very interesting and I'm sure we all have our stories. I wonder though. Does SSUSA look at these posts and actually act on player info. I know not specifically but at least in the background. I certainly don't see any input from staff on this subject. |
| April 7, 2011 GSWP001 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Legacy Email Don at donb@rugidcomputer.com. He has one for sale. Don't know cost but I'm sure the bat is ok. |
