Sonny would make a good addition to any team as long as you are not playing the NV FORCE team. He played on our team last year and was a great addition. Thanks Harry #20 NV FORCE 60s

Ho, I realize that there is different ratings in all three organizations. We are AAA in two and Major in one. If we would have stayed in ISSA Major with the elimination of Major plus, we had a slim chance of winning. So we were re rated AAA and are in the middle of the pack even as an AAA team. We will play where we have the best chance of competing and not being a doormat. I just thought that bashing the ISSA was unfair. Everybody has their flaws ISSA, SPA and SSUSA. so it is nice that we get to pick and choose our tourneys. Three of the five 60 teams that are rated Major did play in the SSUSA ACC tourney. We can all pick and choose which is a good thing. Play well and stay healthy. Thanks Harry

For what it is worth, The ISSA did away with the Major Plus division and now only has a Major division. I have seen a lot of discussions on that move. The difference in ratings between the organizations comes from a trickle down effect. Major teams that can not compete in the new Major division are moved to AAA etc. I think that it is working because the next ISSA tourney has five 60 AA, ten 60 AAA teams and six Major teams in the 60 age group. So it seems that somebody likes the ISSA rating seems. I am looking forward to playing against a ten team field in two weeks. Thanks Harry #20 NVFORCE

Mike, I think that you can include Pa in your list of states that touch N.J. You may not want to play for a Pa. team however. See you in Glen Burnie this weekend (Maybe). Thanks Harry

Discussion: looking for a 65 team for ACC

Hello, I am looking for a 65 team for the ACC tourney in Loudoun County in May. I am currently recovering from rotator cuff surgery but should be ready to go in May. I play with the 60 NVFORCE team. The 65s play Tuesday to Thursday and there will not be a conflict. If any team is interested my contact e-mail is homerunhar@cox. (I live in the past cannot remember when I hit my last home run). Send me an e-mail or leave a message on here. Thanks Harry # 20 NVFORCE.

Discussion: Force play

The game was Televised on ESPN. Jeter was the batter and after the play was over the announcer said double play. I switched back to the MLB channel. There could have been and over turn but I did not stick with the channel to find out. I guess I should have. I am sure that is what I saw although the eye site is not what it used to be. Thanks Harry

I was watching the NY St Louis game a little while ago. Runners on first and second and Jeter hits a ground ball to second. The 2nd baseman has the ball in his throwing hand tags the runner with his empty glove and a throw to first to complete the double play. I always thought that the ball had to be in the glove to get an out call.Is it different went it is a force play if so I never knew of that rule. Thanks Harry

Bruce, I would take 800am over 800pm any day of the week. I like the idea that games pretty much stay on time. I found it very frustrating showing up at 900am and playing your last game that was scheduled at 800pm but started at midnight. I prefer tourneys where the games stay pretty much on time. Whatever it takes to make that happen I am in favor of. Thanks Harry

tg69, What a great statement. It one short sentence that does a very good job of stating who is the team to beat. I wish that I would have thought of it. Thanks Harry

Dave, Glad you got to play and did ok after that first game. I am still a work in progress. No weight or bands yet Just walking the walls and a few other exercises. I see the Dr on the 7th of March and all he wants to see me do is the touchdown sign and not the first down signal. I am getting close. I do not know how you did it so quickly. I will follow Drs. orders and continue on his plan. It is slow but I hope effective. Keep up the good work. Thanks Harry
