Discussion: TOC 55 division

My feelings on the TOC is that this tourney is the only one in senior softball that you need to qualify for by winning a tourney. I am not sure about the ISSA in Tampa this weekend but I do not think that it is the same.I will agree that the date of this tourney should be look at.We are not going because of a huge roster turn over. Our top 6 or 7 hitters have depart for better things. I wish them luck in their knew endeavor. Well maybe, I really hope they crash and burn.We would have been able to play if this was held in Nov of 2012.The bottom line is you have to win something to play in the TOC and that to me is very very important. Thanks Harry #20 NVFORCE

Discussion: Rehab after biceps, shoulder and rotator cuff surgery

I asked my therapist today if the bicep tendon repair had any effect on the rehab of the rotator cuff. She said that the rehab was practically the same whether bicep tendon surgery was added or not. It just takes time to rehab the rotator cuff.I looked at my protocol and on the 27th week I can begin a throwing program that is almost 7 months after the surgery. I did have bicep tendon repair also. Thanks Harry

missouridave, I had my surgery done on 11/28. We are at the same stage. I was also planning on trying to hit at the TOC but we are not going.I keep wondering if I would have been able to.According to my Protocol gently swinging a golf club is not until week 14-19 or day 91-132.The TOC is 3 weeks from today which puts it at the start of the 11th week.I hope that you can DH that would be great. Please keep us informed on your progress. I can use you success to judge how I am doing. It still amazes me how excited I get over the little things in this rehab ordeal. Thanks Harry # 20 NV FORCE

Rainmans, my first week in rehab and the instructor told me that my Dr. went real slow at this because of the re-injury possibility.I will take it slow.

Dave, I was hoping to be able to hit at the TOC but our team had some issues with guys joining another team ( 7 starters) so we are not going. I will just do what they tell be and hope to be able to throw by April or May. Golf and hit before then. Thanks Harry

Discussion: rotator cuff rehab

I got the sling off the arm on Tuesday and started my new rehab session on Friday. I had one or two new movements to do on Friday which went ok. I was told to do a old movement without using my left arm to help the right. My response was I got nothing. She said use the left arm as little as possible. I did but could not raise the right arm by itself. I needed help from the other arm. I was doing my second set a rehab exercises today and and on about the fifth try I raised and lowered the right arm by itself. I started giggling like a little kid that just got some candy. Strange what little things we find joy in. I just thought that I would share. I cannot wait to play second base again. Thanks Harry

Discussion: Statins

I was on simvastatin 80mg for about 6 months and the Dr. took me off of it. I am on crestor now. The reason had to do with a health warning. anybody that was on it for a year or more was ago less than that had to find a new cholesterol drug. Never did ask why. Thanks Harry

Webbie, I agree with you on those two. I have not seen the others mentioned. I would like to add that I like Billy C much more when he hit lead off for the NVFORCE team, rather than Turn Two. Thanks Harry

Great idea on the 1 and 1 count survey. I have placed my vote and I am in favor of it. It may help us get 7 innings in. Thanks Harry # 20 NV FORCE.

big cat that is why they under hand it. You get yours and we will get ours. I think that every team has different situations that apply to them, 3 homers then outs is good for one team but not for another. It is a shame that a home run has to be an out. Seen enough homers for walks at times that something needed to be done. Thank Harry

Discussion: AAA Home Run Outs

Here is my take on the 3 homers then outs if you are a AAA team and are hitting 4 or more homers then you should be playing Major. We are a 60 major team and very seldom do we hit over 3 a game if ever. it is the same for most of the 60 Major teams that we have played against. So for AAA 3 homers then outs is good. If we were a AAA team I would still feel the same. Thank Harry

Discussion: Why so few AA teams

You know what Gary 19 it maybe be the JV of senior ball but they still play tournaments and waste their money. You just do not get it and you never will. We play because we can and choose to. You do not play tourney ball only run your mouth about the negatives. You take the opposite side of ever discussion.
