Paco 13...I too am a Combat man..never have really liked the Ultra 2's, but I do have two in my bat inventory. I've started using them as my BP bat.To me the Ultra's just aren't that durable! I'm still using my combat it has lasted two seasons and I play 10 - 15 turnney a year against major & Major + Pitchers.
This white Veteran might become a good second choice!

Had the pleasure of hitting with the new White Veteran 27oz Balance today & yesterday...The bat sounds broken in right out the wrapper(and with the wrapper)..but of course there's a break in process.I hit about 250 44/375 balls. not many for distance, but I hit a lot of seeds though the infield "which I like" It seem to be a little more durable then the ultra 2, I'll have wait till it's broken in for the distance eval..But so far so good! To me the 27oz fill's a little lighter, more like a 26oz. so you big boys may need to order it a oz size bigger! I'm a bat speed guy, so it works for me!I love the balance, it fills and sounds really nice, playing in a turnney this weekend, should have more reviews after the live play.
The paint seems a little slippery, pop-up serveral times and that's something I don't do as a hitter, (so it can't be me)hopefully it's the paint!..lol
I havn't had the pleasure of hitting with God Bless American model!!!

hey joe,

Thanks for the props..We, Doubleplay had a great time playing this weekend. We came up a little short against TWO very good 50 major teams in Texas & the AZ Bandits. Our 55 team did win the 55 division!!!!They did a great job and congratulation to the Texas team who won the 50 majors and to the AZ bandits for taking the Texas team to an if game, letting everyone know that the 50 major's will be a very good division.
Dave, I had the pleasure of talkng to to you this weekend and to get a better understanding of what it is you do! I can only take my hat off to you, for the JOB you do for US the SENIOR SOFTBALL WORLD. Trying to please 20,000 GRUMY OLD MEN, SET IN THEIR WAYS can be very challaging,
Thank You!
I think out of the fourteen teams in the 50 major's, at least 12 had a real shot at winning this world.
I had a great time, thanks to all the guys who played.

Discussion: Team & Player Ratings

I hear some teams have been reclassfyied, based on their winning percentage durning this past season.
It's my understanding that only five players will be allow to play on the teams that were allowed to be moved down to the lowered division! Which means, that the other 8 -10 guys will be left out in the cold to find other teams to play for. My question for SSUSA and the panel is, does that mean that the other 8 - 10 guys will still be rated as upper division players? Or can the 8 - 10 start their own team and be place in the lower disvision? or If five or more decide to play together on a lower division team will that team be moved up to a higher division because these guys are rated higher?
Please don't beat me up for asking?

Again, Thanks to all for your kind words;
Most of the Senior Softball family didn't know James, he was quiet, allways smiling, but if you played against him, then YES, you knew who he was. Hit a one hopper to second and beat it out! That was James! Need a four foot hundred Home run, call James! Need someone to slap the ball thru the 5 6 and get a double, James! Need someone to talk too, James was your man!
As you can see from all the post, he was and STILL is GOOD people and i had the plesure, to not only play with him but get to know him as a MAN. We should all be so lucky! To all my LAF & WONG teamates, James will be in left center field the next time we all play, it's just that this time Tommy you'll have to catch the ball! (JAMES's SMILE)
