| March 1, 2012 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Should you be able to go for hits between the second baseman and shortstop HAVING PITCHED THE LAST 30 YEARS I HAVE been hit far more than I like and now am more covered up and look like a hockey player but I still believe that I have no problem with anyone going for a hit up the middle. The crazy ones who tell you they are trying to hit you will have to live with the consequences of conscience if they succeed. balls are coming back at a fast pace as the bats propells the ball faster and farther than when we were young 20-30 years ago but as most pitchers understand they take a chance every time they step on the field no matter how good they are. I will continue to play and pitch but am well aware that one day a ball will have my name on it and the grandkids will just have to hang around with Gram ma. Webbie as much as I like you my friend I have not missed pitching to you. Maybe 80 and over when you drop down a few levels. GI |
| Feb. 22, 2012 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Phoenix Feb 18th weekend Webbie it sure is great to hear that I am not the only pitcher that cannot keep you in the park. I still an trying to figure out how you hit my illegal 16 foot pitch , Sun in your eyes oppisite field over the fence for a homerun. No wonder you break bats. We need to get you a second job so you have to retire from playing. Just kidding, love to pitch against you, maybe a 20 footer next time. GI |
| Feb. 20, 2012 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Phoenix Feb 18th weekend Webbie with you hitting 4 home runs during 1 game I do not think you have to worry about playing with them. I enjoyed watching your team and talking with Ron D.. See you in March. GI |

| Dec. 13, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Thanks to Terry Fran, Dave and George-others Roger great to hear from you. We go back a long way in softball and I remember I first met you when you worked as a probation officer with some of the kids I worked with in 1980-90's. Do you live in AZ or have you moved to CA.? I played against your old buddy Ken P. the other weekend at Rio Vista. This is what I enjoy the best about senior ball finding friends from the past. Sad some of our buddies never made it to age of 50. I feel blessed every time I step on the field. Merry Christmas , Thanks again for your note. GI |
| Dec. 10, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Thanks to Terry Fran, Dave and George-others As we enter the final month of this year i enjoy looking back at many of the things that occured in my life during the past year. I have been blessed to be able to continue as a counselor for Mesa Schools and play a small part in trying to help students and families find a better way to deal with life. I tell the kids 80 percent of people are doing great but we often spend more time dealing with the 20 percent who cannot follow the rules. Same for us adults I guess. My father who has Alzheimer's turned 83 this past week but It was nice to talk with him and he knew who I was , A good momemt. Speaking of good moments I have enjoyed my contact with you players for another year of softball and thank Terry, Fran, Dave, and George for keeping us out on the field. The international games Goodwill tournament was so special and playing the team from Japan was a blast. Terry took time out from worlds to let me give him a tour of Sunshine Acres Children's Home in Mesa where I was a director for 16 yrs before working for Mesa schools. What a true blesseing to learn from Vera Dingman the founder. I realize that each of us on the field will only be around this world for a BLINK OF AN EYE. so I hope that we all can enjoy this special time we have to share with each other. Fran thanks for taking care of my knee when it was hit by a line drive and opened up on field, Your kindness is a nice memory. One of my students who has been gone for awile came to school event last night and said I have missed you so much I almost forgot you. HA. In life I guess we do the same things we hang with guys on field than one day they are gone and we almost forget the memories sometimes. Thanks to you guys who keep us playing, Barry Coach of CJS, Webbie who stays in touch, DC in PHX and so many others who keep us playing a kids game. May God Bless all of you during this special season of holidays. See you all in 2012. Gary Ingle |

It sure would have been nice to see the field in Vegas but our CJS team did not get out of Sat. Who knows maybe some day even a TOC being played in Phoenix area with good weather Little winds most of time. If you build it THEY will come. Happy holidays to all . 81 degrees here Wed. Not a bad Thanksgiving time. Blessing to all. |
| Nov. 25, 2011 GI | Topic: Product review Discussion: pitchers shin guards and facemask Thanks to (Paco CJ and S Express) for finding me a hockey helmet and facemask from Goodwill 2.50 half price day. Hall of fame Big Ron hated my puple knee guards that Rusty sold me at half price at East Valley Sports so he gave me his Black ones and I put hard covers underneath to help reflect 110 mile an hour MIken aided balls. Looking for something for chest next season. We soon will look like Hockey Goalies anyway. May have to look for Steal toe shoes soon as recent line drive at Fountain Hills broke a couple of toes. Did not hurt my speed any. Merry Christmas to all ansd many blessings in the coming year. GI |

| Oct. 30, 2011 GI | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Phoenix Worlds Webbie lets be honest, I was amazed that pitch was a srike but maybe it was lower than the pitch before that was at least 16 feet. I did feel that in some games the pitcher could throw almost USSSA but as you say and I agree as long as calls are consistant I know what I can and cannot pitch for strikes. I try not to throw a legal pitch if I am way ahead on the count. Never know when the batter may swing not trusting an umpire. |
| Oct. 30, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Safety Questions Webbie I am still trying to figure out how you hit my 15 foot illegal pitch in the sun out for home run in left center. As for being safe. I say wear whatever you need to protect yourself. I wear more and more stuff each year it seems. Not cheap but lot cheaper than surgery after being hit. I enjoyed the International games with Japan very much and some of that enjoyment came from using their special mush ball. It was nice to pitch without the extra gear on and feel safe but STILL enjoy the game of softball. GI |

| Oct. 29, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 55AAA results worlds Webbie and all it was an interesting weekend for most of us here in PHX area. Drillers must have really brought it on. We played them 1st game of RR and they scored 5 runs in 1st inning and 0 runs next 6 innings and we won 6-5. Must have been the pitchers HA. I always enjoy seeing many of you on the field. Webbie thank goodness I lost 35 pounds to catch or knock down those line drives your guys hit up the middle. Your guys continue to be a class act and I tell them it is part of the game. Lots of fun and what if's. What a blessing to just be on the field playing. I want to give a special thanks to CEO Terry H. for taking time out of his wild week and letting me give him a tour of Sunshine Acres Children's Home In mesa. God has blessed this home and 1700 childrens have been raised there in last 57 years with no help from state or Gov't. A true MIRICLE . Thanks again Terry. I will be missing 1st day of Vegas winter worlds to help run the charity golf tournamnt for the home. I hope to see 55 AAA with our CJS Express team on Sat.Shane V. My son lives In Olimpia Wa. so I know that is close to you.I look forward to starting new year and see if we can change the WHAT IF'S. Hugs to all, Gary Ingle |

| Oct. 23, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 55AAA results worlds Mark you 55 guys from New Mexico are really a class act. Even though you beat us and I could not get you out even with a 14 foot pitch a foot outside in the sun you still hit it out. Hope you made it home ok and I look forward to seeing you guys again. Bless you GI |
| Oct. 23, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 55AAA results worlds I was wondring if anyone knew who finished in top 3 in 55 AAA? Thanks it was a hot weekend but enjoyed even if CJS Express could not play as well as we should have. GI |
| Oct. 16, 2011 GI | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Joifel Goodwill Games On behalf of CJS Express I would like to thank the softball staff, Terry, Fran, Dave and George for letting us participate in these wonderful games. It was a great experience that we will not soon forget. Playing the team from Japan was really an eye opener. You can tell that they really enjoyed the game and showed true sportsmanship even when they lost on the field. The Friday night reception was so special with the team from Japan and Canada being there and doing a special dance to entertain us. They also gave us many things from their country and presented many of us with robes etc. I am thankful for this experience and feel that I gained a new and blessed memory because of getting this opportunity to make new friends through softball.I must also tell you that I enjoyed pitching with the special Joifel softball. Nice to not have to be concerned with being injured by a line drive. In the end it was safe and still gave us a chance to enjoy the game of softball, Thanks again. Gary Ingle |
