OZ40 Why did you ask that question, what is the difference between leading or trailing shoulder? Would your swing be quicker with a stronger leading or trialing shoulder?

Discussion: Sliding into first base

I think the reason for sliding into first is a safety issue. When I used to play young ball I would slide into first sometimes on a close play to keep from getting hit in the temple by an errant throw. If you run in standing up you’re putting your trust in the first baseman, which may or may not protect you. Sometimes he can’t anyway if the throw is up the line or beyond first. I think the reason that most people slide at first is to protect themselves.

Discussion: FACE MASK

mad dog...I've been wearing my Worth mask for two years so it doesn't seem to hamper by vision and I feel safe wearing it. I agree with you about it being hot in warm weather though. I love the rip-it mask also, I wear it when i'm playing an infield position.

I think for pitching you can't beat this mask http://www.anacondasports.com/Worth-Slowpitch-Softball-Pitchers-Helmet/dp/B009R9MPF8

Discussion: Looking for a Good Shortstop and a Third Baseman

Atlanta Monarchs started out playing AAA ball and they didn't win a tournament and get forced to move up to the next level. They moved up on their own to face the stronger competition. I have a lot of respect for this team. They are a great team.
