| June 18, 2018 CallaVett | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Return to playing after pulmonary embolism (PE) Thanks for the reply, I still haven't been cleared to play, my PE was classified as unprevoked (no DVT was found). I was told not to play while on the blood thinner (Apixaban - Eliquis). I did have a CT on Friday which showed the clots have cleared. Normally, I'm an outfielder but I do play infield, also. I'll probable work my way back as an EH and getting a CR. I know the big concerns is being hit by the ball and a collision with another player or the fence. Thanks Steve |

You can get NWT on the auction site for less than $100, a very good value. If you're looking custom then Glovesmith is as good as it get; they will work with you to get the fit and finish you want. I'm a big Nokona fan but you have to be conscience of the leather combination, if weight is a concern. Kangaroo and sandstone are your best choice to reduce the weight. Steve |

Players swing lower MOI bats faster than higher MOI bats. A balanced bat will a have a lower MOI than an EL bat. So, generally people will swing balanced bats faster than EL. Does that mean balanced bats perform better than EL? I don't think so, there are a lot of other variables to consider when evaluating bat performance. |

It simply says change the physical characteristics; adding weight to the knob changes a physical characteristic of the bat, its MOI. The added weight may not enhance performance but it is still an altered bat by the rules. |
