Discussion: Out after 3 Home Runs

For those major players playing in the AAA base hitter occasional home run league, after the 3 HR limit let them play ss or 3rd base. And please stay in front of the ball. Oh you can't play in the grass either because our AAA arm strength isn't strong enough to throw runners out at first.

Discussion: Number 2 hitter

The one two combination exsists in the whole line up. It is up to the players to do what ever it takes to score the maximum runs per inning. This is what it takes to win tournaments. That being said there is nothing I like more than to have leadoff on third after the second hitter! Now the pressure sits on the # 3 hitter to hit long and hard.

This is a product that feeds the ego just like greed. God doesn't like either of them.

TitanHD--I thought a couple of players I know stuck around for the finals and said Doug & Dons played Shereen. It would be nice to see a finished bracket or better yet to be playing in the finished bracket!

The guy that runs this tourney keeps the info low key. The last one he ran in Lansing he combined two major teams in the 50 AAA with no extra players or runs given, they both battled for 1st and 2nd. While he had a two team 60 AAA bracket, a two team 60 AA bracket, and a two team 60 major bracket. I think he had it listed in USSSA website.

Discussion: Kensington Valley Senior Softball League (Michigan)

I am playing in the West Michigan Senior League and love your idea of using ASA bats only. But then again I play infield and really don't like to field bullets that come off the senior bats. We now have to dummy down the balls just to accommodate the hot bats. I love to hit the hot bats but lets let the HR hitters hit the HR'S and let the rest of the field play the game of softball.

Good luck with your league,,,,,,,,,Buck

Discussion: where has the game gone?

The senior bats have put a lot of excitement in the game. I was hitting with my 60 year old catcher, I'm 53 and play middle infield and not the biggest tree in the forest. Well he doesn't hit his UII in bp but decided to hit the remaining 10 balls with it. He went from his solid sounding Mayhem to his UII and the ball started to just fly out of the park,,, as usuall. A few of them he hit to high on center and they sizzled through shortstop. Nope,,, I want nothing to do with that grounder. I can hit my share when I hit the button with the UII but I guess because I am an infielder I get satisfaction out of defensive plays which is the reason they started slowpitch. I have paid good money for my ASA bat only to hit dummied down balls. The senior bats have made some people a lot of money and went back to the days when the pitcher dominated the game only now it is the techno-hitter. I know this dog has been beat but I had to get my observation in....Thanks and enjoy the sport!

Some are missing the point..If eventually a bat hits a ball as fast as a speeding bullet, someone will get seriously hurt without protection!

Discussion: Softball in the naples area?

Looks like I found some pickup games in the Punta Gorda area on Monday And Thursday. Long drive from Lely but willing to drive if it's good.. Anyone playing up there in the morning or at night? Thanks again.

Is it true that it will cost me 64 bucks to fly with my checked in softball bat?
