| July 18, 2010 Ronbro | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Home plate pitching mat We are a Senior (50+) league in Edmonton, Alberta. We run under Canada SPN rules but are looking to change them to allow the use of a mat at home base to pitch to. We are having a lot of inconsistancy with umpires and strike zones. I am looking for a set of rules concerning mat use in all aspects of the game including size, placement and construction ie: rubber or wood. Also comments on how the batters box is affected as the mat would narrow the box if not adjuster? Thanks Ron Brown Pres ESSPA www.esspa.ca |
