| Sept. 10, 2011 JoeB | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Third base coach holds runner from going to Home plate Ball hit to outfield, runner on 1st goes to third and maybe home but the 3rd base coach grabs/touch runner who holds up as the ball is received by SS. Is the runner out because of coaches interference? Does the defence have to throw to 3rd or Home for there to be a call? |

I called the batter out but let the other 3 runs score. Note: In our Senior league, if a batter hits a HR all players on base only need touch the next base. (I don't think our modify rule effects the above question.) |
