Even though i don’t swing Miken bats anymore, i would trust and buy any bat that Alan sells. His customer is awesome. When i started playing senior softball 12 years ago i met Alan in Naples Florida at a SSUSA Tournament. And my teammate and i bought the black combat centenarian. I’ve bat many bats over the years from him. Great Dude.

What is everybody’s gamer ? Do you have more than one ? How many swings do you want to get on your bats before they break ?
I have two : Wig Popper and DaBomb signature bat. If i get around 400 swings I'm happy with that.

Every bat works differently for ever player. I always tell people go with the bat that feels good to you. What works well for one may not perform well for another. I’ve had good experiences with All of the Cellblock bats. I especially like the Wig Popper, Big Daddy and the DaBomb Signature bat.

I’ve been using the Wig Popper and several other Cellblock bats since they came out last summer. The Wig Poppers speed thru the infield is about the best I’ve seen. I have about 400 swings on mine and I’m actually trying to break it. i have a tendency to break bats because i hit the ball very flush. So far it’s holding up. Another bat for the hard hitting player is their new DaBomb signature bat.

Discussion: Brickyard results

I play with 17black and coming into the tourney i was dealing with a rib injury which should have kept me out. Being stubborn when it comes to playing ball with a injury i wanted to play rain or shine. I gave a shot to help my team( we were short players) i realized once i started playing that i should not have played. The cold and rain definitely didn't help my injury. I was not able to play Sunday. It was tough knowing that some players were out there playing injured and i could"t help and then when our left fielder went down i was worried about other players.Did the field conditions have a play in his injury? yes it did. Should we have played in the conditions we did? Probably not. All the people that were associated with the tournament were very nice and i feel had the best intentions to get players who wanted to play ball on the field to play. I found however there was a lack of communication throughout the whole tournament. It seemed like nobody wanted to make a decision. After the fields were initially worked on they were not touched till a 50 major plus team starting working on their own field and then the grounds crew came out. We played all day Saturday until after 1a.m and during this period the concession stand was out of food. Then when my teammate was injured and laying in the water in the outfield i was told they were going to get the cart to get him off the field. I informed him he needs more than a cart he needs an ambulance. His reply was I'm on my way to ask him questions. It seemed like they wanted to avoid to call for some reason. It was a Cluster. I'm sure they did their best they could with all the conditions and the weather and all, but if i had a vote for next year to come to this tournament i think i would probably say no.

I have close to 900 swings on my 27oz Nightmare. It's a great bat for those who like a end load. Kevin has been a great guy to work with. I think this is a great bat just to have. Everybody I know that got this bat loves it.

I have a 28 oz Blackout and it has about 800 hits on it. There was a dramatic change in the sound and performance at around 400 hits. It's a nice balanced bat once it gets broken in.

Discussion: Best leadoff hitter

When I played with Northern Ohio Printing in 50 Major last couple years I believe I hit behind one of the best lead off hitters. Ray seemed like it was a automatic double when he came up. Being the 2nd hitter that makes my life easier when you have a guy on 2nd with no outs.

Discussion: Combat 52 CAL Frank Henry

I have a 27oz EL and was swinging it yesterday in the cages. We were using 44/375 balls. The feel reminded me of my Combat (black) Centenarian. The ball jumped off it really well, but I won't be able to really tell much until I swing it outside in the spring. I put 75 swings on it and it showed now signs of wear.

Any feedback on the two-piece Monsta senior bat the "Fossel". Talked to Carl from Monsta and he seems like a good dude. Anybody swing one yet?

I have had very good luck with these bats. I had one that had over 800 swings before it broke. The one I have now has over 300 swings and doesn't even have scuff marks on it. Combat is a very good company to work with, they will help you out if they can.
Good luck

This is a very good bat for those senior players that like the feel of the Ultra ll, with more durability.
They have a 1 year warranty and they sell for around 199.00. I've got about 75 swings on my 27oz and you can feel it starting to open up. I will be putting on another 75 on it today and will give a update
Later.

Discussion: DeMarini The One Senior

I picked up one of the 2012 blue Senior One bats from bats unlimited for $119. I have about 150 swings on it and there is not much paint left on the barrel, but there is no stress cracking and the performance is very good. I suggest if you do purchase one go heavier than you usually swing. The bat swings very light. Not a bad deal.

Discussion: new combat centenarian......short

I purchased a white centenarian and after about 5 swings paint started to come off. after about 25 more swings big chunks of paint came off. At know time was the performance of the bat effected. It hit great and felt great from the get go. My only concerns about the paint chipping off was the ability to use the bat in tournament play.I contacted Rob Kauffman and Combat and they asked me to send them pictures of my bat. About 4 days ago i received my new bat. I've taken about 50 swings with it and there is no paint issues. Mr.Kauffman and Combat were very understanding and super to work with.
THANK YOU COMBAT

Anybody try One of these bats yet? I use the Bass Pinky in my NSA league and I'm very happy with it. I was wondering if the Crippler is anything like it? Thanks for your input in advance.

I just played in my first senior tourney. Only thing I can say is "WOW". Our team (Northern Ohio Printing from Ohio) ended up 3-3. I met some great people and played some ball with some super guys. I'm looking forward to our upcoming tournaments. I'd like to thank our sponsors Gary and Kevin and also our coach bubsey and also to mr. Hoffman for helping teach the senior game to us young 49 year olds. Haha ! Everyone was class. I'd like to give a shout out to the fellas from Kentucky, new York, Maryland and Florida. See ya soon.
