Aug. 9, 2011 obagain	Topic: Bats Discussion: Thread to discuss altered bats For those saying rolling is no more than just breaking in your bat, you are wrong. Rolling can seperate the inner and outer layers without cracking either, this greatly increases the performance of the bat. Rolling will break in the whole barrel evenly allowing for more flex and increases the performance. Hitting balls will never duplicate either of these.

June 15, 2011 obagain	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Dallas tourney There are other parks that would be better IMO. Waxahachie has 6 fields that are always in very good condition and are set up so that you can get to all of them easy.

I was tired and left so I am not sure how it ended, it was silverbacks and willies and willies had the loss. I had a great time and the tourney was very well run, even though some fields were pretty far away Kieth brought the rosters down so we didnt have to check in and then drive to the other side of the park and he kept water which was very importantin those conditions.

The temps will be in the mid 90's and there is not much shade out there so the heat will be bad. Drink lots of water and get out of the sun as much as you can. I will be out there this weekend having fun and I want everyone else to do the same.
May 19, 2011 obagain	Topic: Bats Discussion: curious umpire JR, it is altering the bat so it should be tossed but it will not add flex, at least not much if at all. It will change the swing weight so the bat in theory could swing faster and have more force thru the ball but if you dont have good bat speed it could actually work against you.

We dont open bats unless they are already broken so there is no doubt we dont swing cheater bats, that is why we did the vid becauase we get accused of it so we decided to have fun and make the shaving vid.

Jan. 15, 2011 obagain	Topic: Bats Discussion: Why No Reebok Melee Legend Videos? They do help some but if the ball is frozen the bat warmer is not going to help much. If the ball is harder than normal it will cause more flex in the bat which will break or wear out the bat quicker. If I lived in a cold climate I would use one but since I am in texas we dont need them enough to justify the cost.
