In a test like this you have to use a tee, too many things to factor in with pitching.
If you did this test with live pitching and got the results we did today the first thing some would say is the pitching could make a huge difference.
If you hit line drives you wont hardly notice a difference in the ball, the difference is when you mishit it, the 52 does not reward a bad swing, I like that.
If you are a HR hitter you will still hit HR's.
I have seen a pitcher take a pretty good shot with these balls and come away with nothing more than a small bruise, that is a good thing.
If they would find a little more balance, give us a bit more performance and keep the injury factor low I wouldnt mind hitting these.
My big thing is will they make a ball with several association stamps so we can use 1 ball all the time instead of buying 3 different balls that are all the same but dont have all the stamps.

In league tuesday I switched from a 28 oz bat to a 26 oz and of course the pitcher throws a low outside pitch that I hit right at his feet since I was not used to the weight of the bat.
It is an auto out so i immediatly ask if he is ok but he is too mad at the ump and me to hear it, a ream mate told me he thought I was running to 1st instead of checking on him.
We talked after the inning, I didnt apologise but I did let him know I didnt hit him on purpose.
He asked where he could pitch so I wouldnt hit him again and I told him anything but low outside.
Next AB he throws me a inside pitch I hit down the 3b line.
The next AB he throws the first way high and the next 2 are low outside called strikes, at that point I am going to hit the next strike even if it is low outside, if he knows I will hit him with that pitch and he uses that to try and get a K out of me then whatever happens is on him, I am not trying to hurt anyone but I am not giving myself up and giving them the out to protect him either.

They know the facts, they just need to justify their position.
There is no logical reason to roll a bat if you get no benefit.

I use stupid in the literal sense, it doesnt make sense to roll a bat and take away the life of the bat and pay to have it done if there is no benefit, thus ist is a stupid thing to do.
I dont like using equipment that has been toned down but if the associations say that is the rule then I play by them.

einstein, then why do you do it?
If there is no benefit why spend extra money and have the bat life shortened?
Are you stupid or trying to justify cheating?

super V 10, I have made bats and repped for a few different companies, I didnt post a theory, it is fact.
I get to tinker with bats and resins so I have seen the effects of rolling on different bats.
I wouldnt roll a senior bat myself, most just need a good bp session to loosen up.
I hit 300-600 a week depending on the weather, right now it is too hot to hit too much so I will hit 100 or so balls 3 times a week but in cooler weather I will hit 150-200 a day 3-4 times a week.

For those saying rolling is no more than just breaking in your bat, you are wrong.
Rolling can seperate the inner and outer layers without cracking either, this greatly increases the performance of the bat.
Rolling will break in the whole barrel evenly allowing for more flex and increases the performance.
Hitting balls will never duplicate either of these.

We use the evil bp all the time, they hold up great and you really get to see the spin on the ball with the 2 color panels.
Steve Butler and I have several youtube videos using that ball.

There are other parks that would be better IMO.
Waxahachie has 6 fields that are always in very good condition and are set up so that you can get to all of them easy.

we lost in the semi to willies.
I was tired and left so I am not sure how it ended, it was silverbacks and willies and willies had the loss.
I had a great time and the tourney was very well run, even though some fields were pretty far away Kieth brought the rosters down so we didnt have to check in and then drive to the other side of the park and he kept water which was very importantin those conditions.

For the guys playing at kiest in dallas this weekend, please be careful.
The temps will be in the mid 90's and there is not much shade out there so the heat will be bad.
Drink lots of water and get out of the sun as much as you can.
I will be out there this weekend having fun and I want everyone else to do the same.

JR, it is altering the bat so it should be tossed but it will not add flex, at least not much if at all.
It will change the swing weight so the bat in theory could swing faster and have more force thru the ball but if you dont have good bat speed it could actually work against you.

Discussion: Why No Reebok Melee Legend Videos?

softball nuts, no, we dont do tests to give away company seacrets,We do tests to check pop and durability but I would never give info an material used or resin used.
We dont open bats unless they are already broken so there is no doubt we dont swing cheater bats, that is why we did the vid becauase we get accused of it so we decided to have fun and make the shaving vid.
