Discussion: On the DBO rule

I hear you santo, But the penalty should be more for hitting 3rd baseman being that's where I play. I think some people are trying to make a joke out of senior ball,I have friends that played till their late 30's were very good players and they are always joking about the special senior rules. If a screen is put in this old boy will be doing a lot more fishing, because the game of softball I've loved playing for last 38 years would have just died!!

Was this rule put in to protect the pitcher on shots accidentally hit at pitcher or if batter is deliberately trying to hit the pitcher. After 13 years of playing senior ball in major & aaa division never has our team or our opponent tried to hit the pitcher that I know of. I hear this has happen in M+, if this is happening in M+ give the umps ok to warn both teams & if it happens again batter & manger is ejected like in baseball when pitcher is throwing at batter. If its just for accidental shots then I agree with a lot others lets stop changing the rules & Play Ball! Heck I play 3rd base and with this crazy rule more batter will be pulling the ball down my way I sure don't need that lol

softball4 was that laser you hit up the middle against us in finals of loser bracket 55 Major? Your right that was scary, I play 3rd base and your next time up you hit a line drive over my head that ate up our left fielder, thanks for not hitting that shot on the ground. Congratulation to NCI very good team sorry Jim & Joe's didn't give you a better game but we ran out of steam playing 8 games in 2 days 4 in a row Sunday and winning last 2 by 1 run. We had 2 great games with Old Dawgs they gave us our 1st loss 26-25 then we won 22-21 in semi finals of loser bracket.

I agree with most to remove that pitcher has to be in box. If a pitcher can not back up 3 or 4 steps after pitching a ball 12 feet high then there are other position's he can play or AH. NO SCREENS PLEASE!!!!

Discussion: RAINOUT IN ISA NATIONALS IN BRIDGETON MO

missouridave, I think Bridgeton Complex is one of the best in the Midwest and being that I'm a life time Redbirds fan I always have enjoy going to St Louis. We did not play on the fields that had temporary fences they looked dangerous to me and field 8 the sun is in batters eye's late pm overall great Complex. I was told the late start 9 am was the Complex's rule, can this be changed ? if Tourney had started 1 game earlier 1st & 2rd day that's 18 games less that would have to be played on Sunday.

Maybe TD took the easy way out, I know the lower 4 fields did not drain that well and were very bad if he get the main 5 fields ready than who gets to play, that opens up more controversy all fields were very wet. My problem with this Tourney other than we played real bad as a team was TD going to 1-1 count on 2rd day of tourney giving the reason( because of the heat) . Its always HOT in St Louis the 1st week of Aug and most like to play this great game in Hot weather ! Also games did not start till 9 am central time why not start earlier get as more games in before it gets real hot

Discussion: As a AA or AAA team would you police yourself when adding players

After 13 years of senior ball the biggest problem I have seen is the criteria for moving a team from Major to Major+ is the same as being moved from one of the other division's. I feel there is a hugh difference between M & M+. We won ISA world last year as a Major team there were a total of 5 teams 2 were AAA . The team we beat in finals was better than us but they played 4 games on 2rd day of tourney we played one & in the if game our SS turned a triple play. Anyway it took us half of this year to get re-rated back to M having to give 5 run's to M teams and getting our tail's kicked by Travellodge the only 55M+ team in this area. We wasted a good chance to qualify for TOC plus played in a couple of 2 team Tourney's. Also AA is our lowest division and in the young guys division E or D a HR is a OUT I feel this should be the case in senior AA
