Thanks Sisavic for info 10-4 on unfair, but if that's the rule I guess we'll have to live with it. This is only the 2rd year for TOC it's take time to work out wrinkles. I would like to see the World Championships in Sept,Toc in Oct then Winter Nationals in Nov. Just my 2 cents

In 2007 the ISA World was on same weekend as NSA and there were only a few teams in some of the divisios. But it looks like in 2008 these two associations Worlds are on different weekends,NSA usually has theirs on last weekend in July. To me the complex in Bridgeton Mo was one of the best that we have played in. All ISA needs is more teams and by moving date should help,I for one hope so because its close and we can drive.

We really like Dalton, motel rates were reasonable, gas was cheaper, traffic was not to bad on Fri am & 10 fields at same location.I can not see the major & major + being in Dalton the infields are cut to short even for aaa & aa teams using the U2's.
Nancy has Tim came up with a date for the Brickyard Classic for 2008?

This was a very even tourney with a lot of 1 run games. I was very proud of our team,we could have won both games we lost. but could have lost some that we won. In our game with Double 0 we lead by 7 & they scored 8 runs in last of 7th to sent us home. In our other tourney loss 19-15 to Willie we hit into 4 double plays. Jah#4 your take on our team is right on,we are a league team all players live in Louisville area, our average age is almost 59 & in 7 games in Dalton we hit 3 home runs. We usually play good defense but our infield had a hard time, would like to see infields cut deeper. Overall great tourney we really enjoyed the city & as usual the class of senior softball teams

Smooth,I don't belive there are any 50 major teams playing in Dalton. The 55 major teams have to use their 55 roster no 50's.

Monty,
The KC tourney was 3rd weekend in July, weekend after the Champaign tourney. Which we have played in every year. We don't like playing back to back weekends. If we don't play in Champaign, and go to KC, we would have been without two players, plus, would only have played in one tourney, a four team event in Columbus, IN early June that had two 55aaa and two major teams. We finished last and didn't have to give the aaa teams an equalizer. We tried going to Marietta, GA in late June. I talked to tournament director and he only had one 55 major team and I believe one 55aaa. So, we didn't think it was worth going 400 miles for. I wish that SPA major was same weekend as aaa like other organizations, we would play major no problem.

I'm turning myself in,being manger of Jim & Joe's I feel like I committed a crime. After our win last year we started looking for tournaments & found out that most in this area are for aa & aaa teams only plus that there are only a few 55 major teams in this part of country.I talked to TD of midwest championships in Champaign,IL & found out there were no 55 major teams entered. So I contacted rating committe about the 50aaa rating. To Ridge's defense he was against it from the begining but they talked & it was approved. We played in Champaign there were 5 teams we placed 2rd.CC Blue has played in at least 4 50aaa tourney's & us the 1 & neither has won one.We did win the ISA 55 aaa/major world last month there were 5 teams 2 were aaa.I'm sure this will be a hot topic this winter & may be changed.I don't know what the answer is maybe for us to play in 55aaa & give 5 runs etc. That may be better for us anyway becase giving up 5 YEARS is a very big equalizer.

The 1-1 count is ok for league play but not a national or world tournament .Why are we always trying to change this GREAT game?Schedule games 90 minutes apart & lets play. The umps could help some there has been a lot of times in past where both teams are ready to play but are waiting on umps I seem this wait be as much as 15 minutes

Mi Vet,I agree with you on Premier being a very good team, let me add that they also have a lot of class. We were fortunate to beat them in finals at the ISA world tournament this past weenend. Our Williams Food/Jim & Joes won the 55aaa/major divison by winning the if game 24 to 15.Yes we could have cried to TD about having to play a major plus team(did think about it)but to TD defence they were given the rating on July 24th 2 days pior to start of tourney. We took the 5 runs & played the major home run rules (4 & singles) hit the crap out of the ball played great defence turned a triple play & somehow won.great complex.congratulation Rabbit on your big win in Al

Corky,I see your point. The reason we played in 50aaa we thought there would be a lot more teams & I don't like giving up 5 runs when your limited to 5 an inning.Giving up 5 years is a lot..You guys had a lot of injuries our last game or you probably would have beat us,we were waring down. What do you think about playing finals of winners brakcet on Sunday Am, loser has to win 3 games in a roll.We only played 1 game Sat.

Hi rabbit, sure enjoyed playing your team last weekend. You have a very good group with a lot of class, very good arms in outfield. The 2 55 Major teams in 50aaa could not have any players under the age of 55.Our LC fielder is 62 & RC is 60,I play 3rd & will soon be 61.We knew we would have a hard time playing with you young guys but we just wanted to play there were no 55 major enter.Champaign was our 2rd tournament this year we are to old to waste the year.Again enjoyed all our games, great fields & good luck to all in future tournaments.Hey if the 2 55 Majors teams were not able to play 50aaa you would have only 3 teams in tourney.

We are a 55 major team in Ky & want to play in Midwest Championship in Champain in July.I just was told by TD today that there was NO other 55 major team entered so I ask to play in 50aaa was told maybe will let me know.We will have a very hard time in lower age group but at least we'll be able to play.
I thought if a 50 major team moved to 55 with 6 or more players from 50 major roster they had to play 55 major.
