Manny ... We're going to go ahead and leave those teams in the system so we don't flush all of the player history and applicable ratings data for those players who are still active at older age divisions ... Thanks just the same for the idea ...

Hi Doug ... Sorry I missed this one and it slipped by ... It's highly unlikely that the date will change after it's been published ... There are a lot of other "dominos" in the line, so it's not as simple as it may initially seem ... Hopefully the weather will be acceptable, and we hope you will provide us with an update after it ends ... Thanks for your insights and good luck this Season ...

Discussion: Question for DD

There's no formal rotation plan for specific weekends for the 50/55's and the 40/60's groups, although there were some years it worked out that way ... The current decision to stick with the 2023 arrangement for 2024 (and likely into the foreseeable future) is based on the field supply/games demand allocation geometry for those groups ... And that's impacted by the reluctance of Sparks to accommodate our games demand by deferring their local leagues on the second weekend ... They don't run those leagues over Memorial Day weekend, which allows us unrestricted (and favorable) scheduling ... The best "fit" is the way it shows for this Season ... Good luck ...

City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation personnel tell us that full concession/snack bar services will be available at Desert West, R. Mofford and Papago Parks in both sessions ... The "traditional" food trailer vendor will be at C. Chavez as they have for a decade or more, and Gidget & Family will be at Sahuaro Ranch as usual in Session #2 ...

Thanks Bill ... YOU are not wrong, but the 2024 list WAS wrong ... Give it a couple of minutes, then refresh that page ... It should be fixed to show the 60's back in with the 40's ... Sorry about that!

myklkp ... Yes, there will be an update in the next couple of days ... The soft entry deadline is later today (5:00 PM PDT on Halloween) ... That will give us the data to make informed field assignment decisions, which we will do efficiently ... We will NOT be returning this year to Legacy Park ... Good luck! ...

Mike ... See Rulebook §13.1(3)D.4. on page 65 ...

"..The Canadian provinces east of Manitoba are merged and known as the Eastern Canada region. The Canadian provinces west of Ontario are merged and known as the Western Canada region. These regions may draw players from their U.S. bordering states, but may not draw players from the other Canada region.."

Yes, we have opted out of the lease agreement with Legacy Park for the facilities to be used during the Winter World Championships ... This is because of the continuing financial uncertainties they are experiencing ... We are hopeful that they can resolve them favorably ...

The impact of the ball was forceful enough to immediately cause the glove to come off the fielder's hand and land on the ground with the ball in it. Once the glove with the ball (and without the fielder's hand in it) touches the ground, a catch is no longer possible. Batter-runner is SAFE ... Good call, Coop ...

NY² ... There are a lot of moving pieces in this one, so it's highly likely we may be in Halloween costumes when we have a firm answer! ... The operational status of Legacy Park is somewhat uncertain as I type this ... We are scratching around looking for a "Plan B" assemblage of fields across multiple PHX area cities (Glendale, Phoenix, Gilbert and Mesa) in case Legacy ends up being unavailable ... This one isn't being easy yet! ...
