| July 13, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: WHO GETS THE BALL?? Like everything there is more than one way to look at it. I don't know of any specific rule pertaining to this situation. The outfielder in the field getting the ball after the play is over I believe is doing a courtesy, not a duty and is admirable. But on the other hand, if the outfielder in the field goes 150' to get to the ball and goes another 300' to get into the dugout will obviously make him the last player off the field. If he is the first batter for his team in that inning, game time is being lost. If this is done several times through out the game, this could add up to a significant amount of game time is lost retrieving a dead balls. It would seem that the outfielder coming onto the field getting the ball would save time since he is going in that direction anyway. |

| June 4, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Any rules about location of safety screen? Is repeating yourself all you can do? You don't use facts, your just saying the same thing over and over only using different words. Enough that old men insist on using the special bats or most of them will take their equipment and go home. (b) Seniors insist on being able to use the special bats, hence ASA is now allowing them ask your fellow old guys why they usually insist on using then or they won't play. Blah, blah, blah... |

| June 4, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Any rules about location of safety screen? Going by the numbers scientifically TESTED and PRINTED on the bat, the difference between the USSSA and Senior Bats is 0.01 or 1%. Since Gary could only hit the ball 200' with a USSSA bat, given a few per cent margin of error, he will gain approximately 2-6 feet distance. Just because 200' Gary came to bat using a Senior Bat, the outfielders should only back up only about 10-20 feet. For you guys that play outfield, how far will you back up if your told 200' Gary is now using a Senior Bat? 5-8 steps? Or will you back up all the way to the warning track? IT IS A SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL, NOT A MAGIC WAND!! |

| June 3, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Any rules about location of safety screen? I SEE NO ACTUAL ANSWER... NO FACTS THAT SUPPORT YOUR COMMENTS. So how about figuring it out in measurement? If Gary can only hit a ball 200 feet using a USSSA (1.20) bat, then how much farther will Gary hit the same ball and every thing else being equal the same, with a Senior Bat(1.21)? How far does Gary think he will hit the ball with the Senior Bat? 350'? |

| June 1, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Talking Trash stick8 That does not sound like Trash Talk to me. It sounds more like a "scouting report"! I consider "Trash Talk" to be constant insults or put downs of the opposing player so as to piss him off, get his blood boiling or get on his nerves Watch Don Rickles, the "Sultan of Insult" do it. Sometimes too much "Trash Talking" can lead to a confrontation in the parking lot. |

| May 31, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Talking Trash softball4b What you said on the ball field is funny, entertaining refreshing and creative. I would welcome you and others like you on a ball field as I see you as positive attitudes. However, I very seriously doubt it would be classified as "Trash Talk" which is basically putting down and negative towards opposing players. |

| Jan. 9, 2012 Pull My Finger | Topic: Bats Discussion: BATCH? I keep reading that getting a bat made in the first or what ever "batch" preforms better or worse than another batch of that same make and model. So my question is: HOW MANY (NUMBER PLEASE) BATS IS IN A "BATCH"? |
