Anybody try the Demarini one Senior 2013
Has anyone tried it? Do you like it? Was looking at it because it is very similar to my Stadium s.one that i currently own that i like. I heard the 2012 issued one was not very durable, I had purchased a Cartel and it lasted 2 months so I'm a little leery about the One Senior.

curtiss-Steve Imlay had one I used for several games-he had 1000 cuts on it when I broke it last weekend. Real good pop.I liked it.

Curtiss, I'm surprised to hear that your Cartel only lasted two months. I have one and only use it for utrip tournaments. I seems to be holding up very well. I probably have 300 swings on it.
If what you say is true I guess I had better treat it like a senior bat!

Thanks, The Cartel was such a disapointment I think there was maybe 75 swings on it, it had real good pop but lasted for s__t.

curtis, I believe the blue demarini Ones didn't last long.. the 2012 green Ones last... FYI My whole team swung them last year so any questions about them, just ask? I believe the 2013 will be the same green bat as the ones we were swinging in 2012...

Swing, the bat i was talking about was the http://www.demarini.com/en-us/slowpitch/bats/1167598/
from Demarini web sight says it's a 2013. My bigest concern is durability. I am just turning 50 and hit hard. Like I said blew out a Cartel in 75 hits. So how did they last?

Curtis, this 2013 model is the same one we were swinging last year... They made about 500 or so to get them out there in Senior Softball... We had opportunity later in the year 2012 to swing them exclusively for Demarini.. They had great durability and guys are still swinging them this year on my team... You won't have durability issues with these bats FYI!

Curtiss, I think you will find you will like this bat... few things I noticed when swinging this bat, is if you nut it.. it will go as far as anything on the market.. it swings well in cold weather and we never broke any during games last year.. I believe we broke one in BP early on that had 100s of swings, but out of 24 bats on our team, I only heard of 1 breaking.. pretty good track record.. Keep in mind I broke a black Centenarian and a Blue MM and a Reebok that year!

Sure Webbie..Steve said he spend all winter breaking that blue Senior one in nicely and you go ahead and break it on him, haha.. He said you were killing it. Bruce like you, we find the Cartels to be tanks..havnt broke one yet.
I have been hitting alot this winter in Florida and have put 400 to 1000 on the Senior One 2013 bats I have down there and only broke one so far. The 2013 Green Senior one is more durable and the paint stays perfect. I did have an interesting thing happen on one of these. Most of them break in at 100 swings for me, and stay consistent throught the life of the bat, but I did have one that had around 700 swings, that suddenly got quite noticeably hotter..it is insanely hot. I noticed it had a small vertical crack...but its the first senior bat of any make I had that broke in..had alot of swings, then fully then suddenly towards the end of its life...got to another level of performance. I've had this happen on utrip or asa bats, but never really on a senior bat. Anyone else have this happen with a senior bat of any make?

bogie-I know-I feel bad about it and offered to replace it. Was just trying to get used to it in my quest for a bat that doesn't break so fast. I played very few games in Albuquerque last year, so when I got with the team I had to experiment there. Steve's been, as usual, been a great help. I guess when I really drive the ball there is something in the way I make contact. I know it when I feel the impact.
I did have a freak once that got very hot just before it broke. It was hotter than my Ultra II at the time. By a noticeable amount.

my bigest fear is that i buy it and it breaks so by what everybody says i should be gtg. Yes i did break not only one but two Cartels 1st one lasted about two months second one a return one lasted about 75 good hits. If you look at the softballfans.com web sight I'm not the only one they did not last long for. Now maybe it is because i swing a 30oz maybe because i swing like Babe Ruth (lol) but I did break two of them and will not buy another one!

Curtiss, I swing 30s too. and they seem to last longer IMO but maybe it's been luck for me.. Anyway.. the lasting of the new 2013 the One green color, have no issues on the lasting part that I know of. FYI
