| March 24, 2013 VINNY LV Men's 50 178 posts | Mesquite Tourn. and passing of a player Wanted to thank SSUSA staff for a great tournament this week.. Got to umpire 21 games this week ans saw some pretty good play.. On a sad note, Rudy (sorry don't know last name)from SoCal 55's passed away from a heart attack on the field.. Umped 2 of their games this morning (Sun.)and the guys were playing with a heavy heart for their fallen team mate.. They was playing Top Gun for the Championship when I left.. To commemorate Rudy in this game they placed his glove on the right field foul line... Hope yinz guys pulled it off.. Sincere sympathy to Rudy's family.... |
