senior combat
Just received the bat 27oz.el . It took a little longer than 50 swings to show signs of being hot . After that started to hit some long ones ,the bat feels real solid not alot of handle flex . paint graphics not that sharpe. Over all i feel this bat is a good thing.

Monty glad to see you're still around. Tommy Rd. and I hit his 28 oz. balance a couple of wks. back. The paper on the bat said hot out of the wrapper but this bat was like a log with old balls. So I took out some good thunder 525's and 375's to break the bat in. We had about the same amount of swings as you. After 50 balls I was hitting the balls a mile high like the Ultra II and over a 312ft fence with ease. Just takes a little time to break in. I plan on getting a 28 EL. I've got to start looking on getting on a 55AAA tourney team for next year. Did you hook up with one yeath. You should have know problem.

Howdy lefty sorry about being slow to answer, put in 2 long days on a new proj. The bat was get hot about 100 swings . No one picked me up, but us montgomery boys are going to try our hand at putting a 50's team together for pensacola. To road runner yes my bat is end loaded, and its the DaBomb senior only bat.

I went out on Saturday and hit 100 balls with my new Anaconda Combat bat, 29 oz.
It got hotter each swing and when I stopped
it was only a couple of feet behind my Ultra 2,
feels better,
but I can tell it will get better.
I won't swing it in bp anymore.
Only games.
Mine is endloaded and I forgot from swinging the U2 and Freak so much, just how good a real end loaded bat can feel.
This bat is special in that it's trampoline effect
is in the neighborhood of the U2 and it's feel is like the old
endloaded Worth ESTs before they had to be sent in and altered.
I get nothing out of this except that it's finally nice
to have a real alternative to the Ultra 2.
I was disappointed with the pricing change and how quickly they were coming apart.
I had 2 Ultra 2's.
One cracked in 10 swings.
The other in about 75.

As far as 'swing weight' is concerned, how does the Senior Combat compare with the U2? i.e. would one use the same weight with one as the other? I had (and liked) the 'Da Bomb', 27 oz EL before, not max EL. Would this be the correct weight for me?
You guys that say that it's right at the U2 in performance... no sarcasm intended, right? It's better than the USSSA version of Da Bomb?
I, too, am looking for an alternative to the U2. Broke another one in Seattle.
Also, I've seen the term, Anaconda Combat. I presume this to mean that you bought it thru Anaconda Sports.
please confirm for me... thanks, Bob Woodroof

Yes, from Anaconda.
I talked with Kevin and he was terrific in answering
all my questions.
Again, I get nothing out of this but I like the bat better than the Ultra 2 on feel alone and hits now after 100 swings within 10 feet of the Ultra 2 and it's getting hotter all the time.
Mine is 29 end loaded.
I'm sure Kevin at extension 210 will hook you up.

The bat is made exclusively for anaconda sports. If you are buying online please click the senior softball store banner it is the same price delivered. The balanced bats swing similar to an ultra 2 and a end load swings like a u-trip bat.
Remeber to rotate the bats when you swing them it will make them last much longer.

monty just ordered me a 28oz EL combat. I hit with Tommy's balance and it hit better than my freak+ after 36 balls. Need to break it in with good balls. It didn't take that long hit tower high and out of a 312 foot fence. I wouldn't have bought this bat if they would use good balls in tourneyments. I think it was better when we were using good 525 balls a couple of years back. You need the U2 or the Combat to hit these mush balls they are using these days. You know at 95 degrees the compression decreases alot. I just have to keep up with the Jones.

monty: UPDATE, Changed my combat to a 27oz. EL. It's hard to believe but I think this bat hits as good as the Ultra 2. Last weekend on the last round with old used 375 44 Dudley Adv. balls I hit 18 out of 36 over a 300 foot fence and what balls that I missed reached the fence. I've got about 275 BP hits on it and I just can't see it hitting any better. Today I'm going to hit with old mush balls like we use in all the games we play in at all the tourneys. Going to hit at a 310 foot fence. It doesn't matter were you hit on the barrel. The bat I have hits the ball well at any spot of the barrel. Maybe I got lucky and recieved a good bat. If I were Miken I'd watch out for this bat. Swings Great.
