| June 4, 2013 bernie Men's 55 77 posts | Diamond City Classic Count Down The Third Annual Diamond City Classic Tournament in Wilkes-Barre PA if filling up rapidly. Over 22 teams are entered and with a few new fields becoming available, we will be able to expand the field from last year. The tournament in held Thursday June 27 and Friday June 28 for 65, 70 and 75 divisions. Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30 will showcase the 50, 55 and 60 divisions. | June 13, 2013 bernie Men's 55 77 posts | Update June 13, 2013. The 3rd annual Diamond City Classic in Wilkes-Barre PA on June 27-30 has currently doubled in size over last year. The field now stands at 26 teams in age groups of 50 -70. Because of the sudden explosion in interest, we have secured an additional nearby Softball Complex to help us handle the overflow for either the 50 or 60 divisions. It is only 25 minutes from Downtown Wilkes-Barre. In doing so, we have additional spots available to handle teams from our region and nearby. We have extended our deadline to enter back to Wednesday June 19 for 65 and 70 teams and Friday June 21 for 50, 55 and 60 teams. With eight 65 and 70 teams we have room to add another four for Thursday June 27th and Friday June 28th play. In the 50 55 and 60 divisions, currently 18 teams are committed with room for another six in all divisions. If you are already entered, we welcome you to beautiful Northeast Pennsylvania to play in the fastest growing and only SS-USA event in PA. If your team is not entered yet, call your sponsors, managers and players to get in this fast growing tournament.
