What do you think of pay to play players?
up here in the pacific northwest it's hard to find quality players. But when you find them, ask them to play for your team, you always have to worry about the pay to play teams taking them. they don't come to the manager, or coach, they go directly to the player. The next thing you know they are telling you they are going to play for someone else. we work hard getting sponsors, under the premise, we have a good team, and yes 1 player can make a HUGE difference on how your team does. We work hard getting our uni's bought, tourney fees paid, and this kind of crap happens. We have 1 notorious team that has been a thorn in the sides of plenty teams up here. The players almost always end up leaving the team eventually because the guy is an a**, then the are restricted in playing major plus or sit out a year....I dont know....just pissed I guess after all that work.

I like the game an for me if I can't find a team that has a sponsor I'll pay to play if I like the team. For me a time $300 or so for a year of play is way cheaper than missing a day or two of work, hotel bill and gas.

Have been in Dallas area for my 4th season and am on my 4th team.

So far all have said "if you will play with us you can pay your way".

Does anyone know of someone who will pay U to play in this area?? LOL

Swing "Loyalty is a must for the season (unless BAD exists on team). At the end of season each person has the right to stay with current team or better themselves with a more compatible team or play at another level, could be up or down in level.

Lefty I think you missed the boat on this one....I meant a team owner, sponsor or whatever you want to call it pays his players to play. tourney fees, uniforms and such I can see but to pay players just for playing just doesn't seem right to me. And to snark players off other teams without even talking to his current manager or sponsor, is a back stabbing issue to me. But I guess when you own the association, anything is fair game.

And Swing?...I totally agree!
