HOW MANY TEAMS ARE GOING TO VEGAS??
With the deadline for registration ending today, we should find out sometime this weekend how many teams are attending the World Masters in Vegas. Thought it might be fun to take a guess and see who is the closest. My guess will be 538 teams. How many do you think?

Duke there are 85 teams total in the 60's. Here is the break down on how many team's in each Division. 60's AA 21 Teams--- 60's AAA 40 Team's--- 60 Major have 14 Teams---- 60 Major Plus have 9 Team's. The 1 team that has no rating is RCM out Phoenix, Az. To all the teams going to Las Vegas good luck.It should be lots of fun. Dave good luck with the draw. I'm sure I don't what to be in your shoes on this one.

Jerry,

The break down changed slightly since the list first came out. Based on my first check and what it is now, RCM must be rated AAA. I counted 15 Major teams, but I may have made a mistake. 14 teams is plenty, AND it means that we may have some free time on Friday to enjoy Vegas. Good luck to you Jerry.

Take care buddy,

Tommy, I should arrive in Vegas some time between 1 and 2. Great to see you and Martha last weekend. Martha looked great and it was nice to see her doing well. I will be ready whenever you call me. We could probably go to dinner before the manager's meeting?? Let me know.

Man I was way off on the Count. I tend to be an optimist, but Duke you got me beat. Your on for Dinner in Vegas. We will hook up when we get there. I have your #, do you have mine? Just want to be sure.

In fact, it will be nice to see Phil too and other softball players that I have not seen for a while.

I recounted and from the original list, there were 15 Major teams. I noticed from the current list, that K C Kids is not attending now. Also, RCM is classified as a AA team, not AAA as I had guessed. It would be nice to get 2 more Major teams for 16 teams and the best bracket set up. It would make it easier on Dave too. Have fun on Monday Dave with setting up the AAA bracket.

Dave is the best in the business when it comes to creating draws/brackets. He gets it. IMO, this is clearly one of SSUSA's strengths.
Too many other guys have us coming back to the field all day long. What don't they understand about 'we don't want to warm up 3-4 times in the same day'? Not to mention that some teams do not get to LV that often and Dave's draws allow them to spend some 'off the field' time.
Dave definitely gets it. When it's all said and done he'll arrange it so that we get in and get out. Then another division can come in and do the same. (we = all teams, to the extent possible)
Why is this so hard for others to grasp? If they had 800 teams in LV Dave would still do it correctly... it would just take him longer. I know that the total LV fields do not allow for 800 team time slots... it was a hypothetical comment.
