| Nov. 5, 2013 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | WINTER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013 DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 of the 2013 Winter World Championships in Phoenix, AZ, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ... FIELD ASSIGNMENT REVISION The Men's 65-AAA Division has been scheduled for Papago Park (instead of Rose Mofford Park) in order to balance the teams and games burden between the two facilities utilized for Session #1 ... The Field Assignments as reflected on the Session #1 DRAFT schedules may now be regarded as FINAL ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are frozen as of the Managers Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed without Tournament Director approval before teams first game. Managers who do not attend Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director and are prohibited from Roster additions ... The caveats mentioned above for Session #1 apply here as well ... FIELD ASSIGNMENT REVISIONS The Men's 50-Platinum Division has been scheduled for Desert West Park (instead of Papago Park) in order to balance the teams and games burden between the facilities utilized for Session #2 ... The Women's 40-Masters Major Division will play their Sunday (only) bracket games at Papago Park instead of Cesar Chavez Park due to the lack of available game slots at Cesar Chavez from the two-day format and our desire to not have any teams eliminated on Saturday ... The Women's 60+ Senior Division will play their Sunday (only) bracket games at Papago Park due to the lack of available games slots at Mountain Vista Park on Sunday ... The Field Assignments as reflected on the Session #2 DRAFT game schedules and brackets may now be regarded as FINAL ... | Nov. 10, 2013 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | HEADQUARTERS HOTEL NAME CHANGE On November 6, 2013, the Inn Place Hotel changed ownership and is now operating under the name The Metro Plaza Hotel ... As of Sunday evening, November 10th, the hotel signage is unchanged as "Inn Place Hotel", but that COULD change in the next few days ... | Nov. 13, 2013 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | MEN'S 50-AAA REVISION Due to the Wednesday evening withdrawal of the Sultanes 50's (NM) in the 50-AAA Division, a minor schedule re-write was required ... This is now an 11-team Division instead of 12 ... One team (Git-R-Done 50) has a later start time than as originally scheduled and all other teams starting times remain essentially the same ... The revised Seeding Game schedules and the new 11-team bracket have been posted here ... There is ONE seeding game change on Saturday morning in the Men's 50-Platinum Division ... Please check either the online schedules or the bracket board at the fields for this revision ... Good luck everyone! |
